Let Me Show Ya a Little (g)Love

This 'n' That

29 Mar

Garden from the heart closeup

Most of the day today my computer was defragging (makes me think of Fragglerock, remember the Dozers? – I loved those guys), I still was having issues so Susanna (hey chickee), suggested defragging it, then my sister Jax (hey sweetums) said to uninstall Firefox and then reinstall it, that still has not helped I am back using Internet Explorer and it messes up certain places on the internet (why I got firefox to begin with, but after the latest update – it has been horrible) but at least it lets me work on my post. I hate computer technical stuff.

So anyway while all this was going on I sat down to do more taxes, realizing I needed information on my computer, so I thought I would sit down and make a card instead.

So I turned on the TV by my desk, and a movie called "The Egg and I" came on and it was actually pretty funny for an old movie.  So I thought I would make a card inspired by the movie, and the two main characters; Bob & Betty sure worked their fingers to the bone. I loved where they got a flat and he was looking for the jack and she pulled out a wrench and then she said oh she had used the jack to prop open the door and then they fought and when they got home he chased her in the house and tripped over the jack. Too fun.

Garden from the heart full
Stamp Set: Family Phrases, Garden from the Heart

Paper: Sage Shadow, White Natural, Chocolate Chip, Sweet Pea DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Brocade Blue, Going Gray, Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip

Misc: Modern Label Punch, Movers and Shapers Die, Silver brads, white gel pen

This card layout is copied from Ilina Crouse, and it is a fun and cute one, especially for this size card. Which is 3 1/4" x 6 1/2".

Oh and they say a picture is worth a thousand words…well these sweet words are for my good friend Robin from VA (love ya Robin)

DSCN1244
This is who stares at me on my computer screen, now Robin seems to think that Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice is sexier then Edward from Twilight, and so we have this fun little disagreement going on, and well I say Edward wins.  I mean look at that face.

Well now that my defrag is over I can get my files off my computer, but I guess I better be hollering at someone tomorrow cause this freezing up is getting a little old, so there is definitely something wrong with my Firefox.

Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping in!

Di, you know that I love you, but I have to disagree with you, Mr Darcy is sooooo much sexier than Edward…. esp when he looks at Elizabeth when she is playing the piano.

Fragglerock was the best show ever….. and I really love the card. one question though…. if it is 6 1/2 inches tall, how do you get that from a piece of paper?

That's a cute card. I hope you get your Firefox issues figured out. There is nothing worse than having computer problems – especially when you have to get something done.
Edward wins in my book too – although….Jacob is quite buff in New Moon and I must say made the heart skip a beat or two…regardless of the fact that I am old enough to be his damn mom!
    Luv ya

Nice card – great for someone who has done work in your yard.

I'm in Robin – I like Mr. Darcy best – and I love all the other movies he's played in. I've never liked this guy from Twilight – but I'm sure he will grow on me.

    Hi Dany,

I will answer you, even though you are a Darcy lover…ha!
The piece of paper starts out 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 and you fold it in half.

    Hugs,
    Di

I have had the same experience with Firefox since updating and I hate IE. I have switched to Google Chrome and love it. It is similar but still some things are really different. I don't do a blog so don't know if that would be any different or not.

Oh Di, the gauntlet has been thrown down! 🙂 I love your enthusiasm, but after yet another private screening of the movie in my studio the other day, I am convinced that Darcy is the most romantic lead evah! And yes, I agree with Dany, the way he looks at her at the piano and then again when she meets his sister – oh, and in the rain scene and let's not forget that WOW sunrise scene…..yeah, I could go on!

And I loved your comment on my blog the other day! Yeahh! 🙂
Anyway, none of this changes the fact that I still love ya! And hey at least we aren't fighting over the same man! We each get our own! 🙂

Very cute card by the way – hate cutting anything out, but love that you do it!
Taking Emma to the mall today for a little spring break shopping trip, I'll be checking for the perfect Mr. Darcy clip online when I get home…….

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
