You Say Potato…

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator· Sale-A-Bration

12 Feb

I say, &*$!$#%@!

So today I had to run to Walmart to get a bigger Corning Ware casserole dish to make Sharon's (Hey Foxy!) awesome stew recipe.  I will share it with you, if she gives me permission. So I had thought I had potatoes the other day but realized when I got home I didn't, so I also picked those up.   As I was emptying the cart, I got to the potatoes last cause they were on the kids seat next to my purse, and somehow some of them had worked their way down under the seat, so I could not pull the bag up, down, or sideways it was just kinda stuck.  So I am trying to move the seat, and the potatoes are jammed in there so you could not move it. Meanwhile a man in a Snap On truck sat in the parking lot with the motor running and I was about choking from the exhaust while I wrestled with my spuds.  I was cursing and wondering why does he need the motor running, it ain't like he has ice cream in there.  Finally after tugging what seemed like 5 minutes and scraping my hand, and hoping people were not watching me and laughing, (cause come on if you seen someone fighting to get their potatoes out of a shopping cart, you would certainly be laughing your head off, cause I would) so anyway,  I poked a hole in the plastic bag, (thank goodness I didn't buy one of those woven mesh bags, or I would have left the potatoes hanging in the cart) and pulled a few potatoes out so I could get the bag skinny enough to free my potatoes. I'm gonna enjoy cooking them %#$@!& things!

I worked on my FLICKs cards today, and I had told you before I would explain what they were. Last year I did DIVA cards for my downline if they did $X.00 of sales a month they were earning card kits.  People got busy, I got busy, and I finally stopped doing them.  After taking a class at Leadership where the Demonstrator talked about focusing on your First Level, I thought I am going to go back to doing card kits again for my First Level.  I wanted to come up with a fun name, and I thought of "First Level Incentive Card Kit(s)" – FLICKs for short. So based on their monthly sales, they will get the one completed card and the card guts for either 5, 7, 10 or 14 cards, to be used at a class or workshop, or however they want. They need to call me or email me by the 10th of the following month and tell me what their sales were and that they earned the cards.

So this is the card for this month, I got it off of the new Stampin' Connection, a group that Stampin' Up! has started for us Demonstrators so we can share ideas. This card is cased from Jackie Wright.  Thanks Jackie, this is so cute.

Stamp Set: Fox & Friends, Family Phrases, Wanted

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Sweet Pea DSP

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Misc: Rose Red gros grain, 1 3/8 circle punch, dimensionals

If the girls don't have these sets, they just use what they have.  I liked this card for how easy and quick it is, especially if the girls use it at a workshop.

Toby thought he might like to contribute to the family household and become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. He sees how much I enjoy my "job", and that I get paid to have fun!! He knows the kit is on sale until the end of March, and Stampin' Up! is offering a grrrreat deal.  Unfortunately Toby can not sign up, even though he looks adorable in his Stampin' Up! apron ( "borrowed" from my Build a Bear.)

But YOU can certainly sign up, and I would love to have you join my group.   Not only is the kit 15% off, but you can also get an extra stamp set from Stampin' Up! valued up to $47.95, and I am also giving you a choice of a $47.95 stamp set as a Welcome to my Di's Country INKers family. You can sign up online and be a Demonstrator today!  My password is: QCAZ85240

I look forward to talking with you and answering any questions you may have, just shoot me an email at digibbs@stampingwithdi.com .

Have a great Friday, and thanks so much for stopping in!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
