Pretty in Pink

This 'n' That

18 Feb

Case of Ilina
This time I am casing Ilina Crouse because she is one talented girl too. I love how she stamps, her stamping is this clean, fresh, crisp look.

This card is one that I demoed for the Trilogy ladies today.  They had not seen the  Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, and they thought it was so cute…I do too, and it makes this card quick and easy, using that Sweet Pea DSP isn't too shabby either. I love it in the Pretty in Pink but this would be fun to do in so many different colors, and using a different little focal point in each square.

DSCN0896 copy
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, Whisper White Textured Paper, Sweet Pea DSP

Ink: Basic Black

Misc: Modern Label Punch, Scallop Square Punch, white gel pen, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die

This is a long note card, the finished size is 6 1/2" x 3 3/4"

Now shall we talk about American Idol.  My Precious was handy as I used her for a notebook. Let's see if I can make any sense out of my typing.

Didi: Yeah, she went through last night and I missed it, I like her. Tonight there was, my spelling might be way off…sorry:

Jenellle: gee get a longer skirt will ya? I was afraid it was gonna be a Basic Instinct shot as she sat down in front of the judges. Whoops, they already made their choice, no need to tease them…

Tyler: the young square chin, Mick Jagger like guy…he has quite the cocky swagger, I am still not sure of him.

Lacy: she got picked over last year from the bluesy wacky tattooed girl, so I am soooo glad they put her through this year. She's good!

Crystal, the harmonica player with the dreadlocks, she is so talented and I love her voice and her back story, she has such a unique look, it makes me wonder what they will do with her, cause you know how as the season gets going they get "groomed"

Square pegs is gone…oh well

OK, so this one may make people mad, I can not believe they picked Haeley over Tori.  I feel for Haeley as she has had a rough life, I think she is stinking adorable, and think she would be great in a movie or tv show, but as the next American Idol, she is so hard to understand, and maybe it is my deafness, but I think Tori was the better singer in my opinion.

Garcia: OMG! we are so happy in the Gibbs' household I think we were all crying with him as he was picked.  I was like, if they pick the other guy I was gonna scream, especially the wrong choice (in our opinion) how they did the girls at the end.

But hey it is just the 24, there are lots more weeks to go to whittle them down to one, and as we get to know them better and hear them more who knows what we will think in a month.  I do believe every year the talent gets better and better.  I can hardly wait till next week.

Did you know?

Well I am off to go watch the Olympics, it is the snowboarding and I hope no one loses their britches, how those baggy pants don't get in the way is beyond me.  Oh when we were going back and forth between AI and the Olympics we saw that one poor girl fall as she was coming into the end of the skiing, that had to of hurt, it looked like her leg was twisting, but she got up.  I think I pulled a knee muscle just watching it. I think that speed skating stuff in the round rink is on tonight too, with that boy from Dancing with the Stars with the little goatee..yeah you know who I mean.

My Precious is also doing better about getting my emails to me, I think there are getting to be more towers or something.  But she was vibrating and buzzing all day long today.  I even used my GPS navigator today to get home, just to see if she knew where she lives, and she did good!

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in!

This is a cute card too. I only watched AI until about 9:30 – so half the show.
It's a wonder some of these poor people don't have a stroke or a heart attack, the way they make them wait and work up to stuff
I too am glad the dreadlock girl got through – she has a good voice.
It will be interesting to see who carries on through.
    Luv ya

Hi Di. Love your blog. And all your comments about everything:) Just wondering about envelopes for oversized cards, eg, "pretty in pink". It's 6 1/2 x 3 3/4. Do you put it in an envelope or just hand it over 🙂 Where do you get odd sized envies? Thanks………..Jen sleepy@persona.ca

    Hi Jennifer,

I TRY to make cards that Stampin' Up! sells envelopes for.
The Pretty in Pink card fits in the small open end envelope that we sell.

    Hugs,
    Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
