My Precious

This 'n' That

5 Feb

Ya gotta say it like that bald little creature off of Lord of the Rings.

Droids in the house! Droids in the house! Thanks to everyone that gave me recommendations on their phones and pros and cons.  I ended up going with the Droid cause I could stay with my provider which was Verizon, and we have had them for 12 years and have only had one major complaint in all those years. The sales guy was really nice, I got a great deal and some freebies. Jeff now has my old phone, it was a Scoop and keep going back and forth why we even have a house phone anymore.  I guess calling Canada to my folks back home is part of the reason, but some day I think we won't have it anymore.  I can't hear worth a hoot with it, my hearing aids squeal, and it is a pain in the butt.

So my precious Droid, although I need to find a new name for her.  Now to get used to it. But hey look how pretty she is now…

All dressed up for February.  Now I have no clue how to go in and change it, but hey I have a month right?

I do have to get used to the touch screen, when I think I am touching what I want something else gets hit.  Also when I scroll I must do it too hard, as it thinks I am picking an item when I want to scroll.

I did figure out how to get my email to it, and I am so proud of myself, I thought I had to go back to the store. I did not remember my gmail address, that I never use, so this phone has a different one, but I don't think it matters enough to go back to have the real one in there.

So I'll let you know how it goes.  I even set the alarm too.

Ohhh my precious!

Well have a super duper Friday, I am going over to MAMMa's for a little bit and then I have to get back home and get some work done.  I have my FLICKs cards to do and I will tell you about that later.

Thanks for stopping in!

I don't know much about your new phone, but I love saying My Precious just like Gollum…. I love that almost creepy voice of his. Sadly I say this to my son (even though he hates it) while tapping/running my fingers through his hair all the time.

The new phone looks really cool. Mine is so outdated it is not even funny… I think I will be getting a new one and a new provider when my contract is up in may…. let me know how you like your phone, it might be something to consider.

The little bald dude's name was Gollum…maybe you could call your phone Gollum!! Or Arwen – she was the pretty elf that fell in love with Aragon….oh yeah..you fell asleep during that movie didn't you!!!! It's a cool looking phone….I hope you got a good data plan so when you are texting and playing with all the cool tools you are not going broke at the same time!!!
    Luv ya!

I have a touch screen too, not the Droid though, but I found there is a "program" for lack of a better word, that has you touch various points, this way it senses how you touch your scree.

Did that make sense??? About as clear as mud??? Hope it helps at least a little! LOL

    Hi Diana –

Looks like you are enjoying your phone. My husband read the post along with me and loved that you call it 'My Precious'. That's how he feels about his droid. Enjoy your new toy!

First I just want to thank you for posting your mosaic cards.
It's nice to know that someone as AMAZINGLY TALENTED as you still has stuff you are not happy with.

Congrats on the new phone. Maybe you could call her Precious for short! LOL You are going to fall so deeply in love with this phone you won't even believe it. ENJOY!

Congrats on the new phone! I just got one, too! Not a Droid, though…a Blackberry Curve in Smoky Violet! LOL I'll have to think of a name for it now. 😉

    Hugs!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
