Here’s the Scoop…

This 'n' That

4 Feb

Diana scoop

I'm getting a little older, and forgetful, you have that friend that has a birthday on like the first or second of the month and you flip the calendar and "dagnabit!" I missed their birthday again.

So when we went to Regionals in Phoenix last month we had the opportunity to earn a brand new set from the new Summer mini and it is adorable, and it came the other day, and well you know me…I like to think outside the box, make you look at your stamps differently, make them even more valuable.

Here is that perfect card for the friend "with a sense of humor" to apologize that you forgot their birthday.

Now I am hoping you all have a sense of humor too, and I don't get too many unsubscribers.  Oh and when I showed my hubby Jeff, he said "rabbits don't poop like that", and I said "yeah but the greeting says hare".

Oh you want the card recipe? Ya wanna whip up a bunch of these? Sure here ya go:

Stamp Set: Birthday Banter, Sweet Scoops, Chocolate Bunny

Ink: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Going Gray

Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel

And just so you see how cute the set is when used CORRECTLY.

Isn't that sweet?  Fat free too!

Stamp Set: Sweet Scoops

Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip DSP, Chocolate Chip

Ink: More Mustard, Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Chocolate Chip

Misc: Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, My Way punch, white gel pen

Tip: To get the two toned look of a solid stamp, I inked up the image, then I stamped it off once on scrap paper then I just inked up the one side of the stamp again, and now it is darker and looks shaded. I am not a super fan of solid stamps, cause I love to color, but I am loving this set and the cones are "stinking" adorable.

OK, I promise to talk about American Idol tomorrow, I gotta hit the hay!

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in, I hope to see you back here tomorrow…please!!!

You are too funny! You need a new sidebar where you can keep all of your humorous cards, like the chocolate bunnies who are missing ears, tails, etc. I earned the Sweet Scoops set too, but mine doesn't come until tomorrow. Now I can't wait to get my hands on it! Thanks for the great tip about stamping off and re-inking one side to get the shading. You are a genius!

    Blessings,
    Barbara

Di, This too funny! I ordered the bunny just because of your card and now I will have to get the icecream cone. Please tell me you changed your mind about Kara on Idol, I really like her. What did you think about Victoria B. as a guest judge, if you get past how she looks- SKINNY – she seems like a nice person. Can't wait to see how Ellen does. Glad you're feeling better.

very cute, both versions! My "Sweet Scoops" (or is that Sweet Poops???) arrived yesterday and I haven't assembled it yet. Getting things finished up so I can have the house and snacks ready for a Super Bowl party….maybe it will be a boring game and we can escape downstairs to stamp??? Jan

Love your poops card — love the humor! I've been telling everyone who gets the bunny stamp about your "My butt hurts – what??" card and now I'll have to share this one as well!

Di, I love your skewed sense of humour. I think it shows you are Canadian… don't we all think stuff like that is funny?

I know you already have a sister (hiya Jax) but I think I need to adopt you. I always wanted a cool sister and never had one, and you are about as perfect of a sister as I could think of.

speaking of skewed sense of humour… I have a great Valentines card that I think you would get a kick out of…. should even get there by valentines day.

Is Birthday Banter a current stamp set? I didn't find it in the "big" catalog…I LOVE the oops! poops! card and I know my friends and family will too. I'm thinking of missing my sister's birthday so I can send her this card. Thanks!
