Better Today

This 'n' That

3 Feb

DSCN9863 copy
Thanks so much for all your kind emails and comments, I really really appreciate all of you.

Today was better, I have been a little tired but other then that pretty good.  I am a little head achy tonight, maybe the shot is wearing off who knows, and it could be the laughing Jeff and I were doing during American Idol but I am gonna post a quick scrapbook page that I sent in for Leadership Displays and save my AI comments for tomorrow. I was making notes while I was watching. Afterwards I watched Kitchen Nightmares, and that Adele woman, I would have washed my hands of her.

Here is a quick scrapbook page I did using the SAB set Good Neighbors, ya gotta love them little houses.

OK, I got a question for ya. I need to get a new phone.  I am going between three choices…what is your opinion and why? Remember I am deaf so the phone has to be able to be a good sounding one and not whistle when I hold it to my head.  I also want internet, email, picture taking with a flash etc. capabilities.

iPhone – which would mean changing companies – right now we have Verizon

Blackberry – not sure what model

Droid – this would let me stay with Verizon

Our contracts are up so switching providers probably would not be that big of a deal.

But anyway, I would love to hear your recommendations, and your pros and cons and if you have a phone not listed on here that you love…let me know!

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

Di, I am so glad you are feeling better. I missed you being sick… damn internet….I hate not knowing what is going on in the world when I am cut off from it.

I totally know how you are feeling right now. I have had migraines since I was 13, but started getting ocular ones when I was pregnant.

What a great scrapbook page… I never would have thought to use that SAB set that way.

keep getting better… and eat some chocolate… it helps my migraines.

I love my iphone!!! I don't have a hearing aid so I don't know how it would go with that, but it does have a really good speaker volume that goes higher (in my opinion) than other brands.
As a demonstrator i love it for my business since I can place orders on it, I installed google reader on it so I can keep up with all my blogs from anywhere in the house since we have a wireless network (technically you can go online anywhere ever but I try not to go overboard with my data usage).

I suppose all this stuff could be done on the blackberry too, but I really love my iphone…

I'm so happy to hear you are feeling better, Diana! You gave me a good scare!

I have an iPhone and I love it. I also wear hearing aids, and I have never had a whistling problem with my phone. Also, the volume level is great. It is the best phone I have ever owned. I don't think you will be sorry if you get the iPhone.

    Blessings,
    Barbara

So glad you are feeling somewhat better. We watched the Kitchen show for the 1st time last night because the town it was filmed in is about 5 miles from our house! One of the people eating there was Will's pre-school teacher from last year. We have never been to the resturant and after seeing that Adele, my husband and I thought we would never go! Nice little town though, Whitehouse Station. Hope you have a superfantastic and feel good day!

So glad to hear you are doing better. My husband has the Droid and LOVES it. He thinks it is the greatest thing ever – and he is a big techy nerd (and I love him!). 🙂 It is very similar to the iPhone but allows you to say with Verizon. I think the data plans are also way more reasonable than the iPhones too. The Droid also has a great camera! Hope this helps and that you continue to feel better!

Hi Diana, Glad your feeling much better..

I love my iPHONE.. Occasionally hubby has to put it in timeout since I'm always on it. My 6year old loves it too, and has decided when he gets his phone he wants an iPhone.. I think one of the best features the iPhone has that other phones don't is you can surf the net while talking on the phone. Great tool..

    Hope this helps some..

Well, I think you gave me your headache although mine is not a migraine. My hubby has the occular migraines…not fun sorry you had to experience that. But good that maybe you did not have strokes as a kid!
I have the blackberry storm and I am almost (I said almost) ashamed to admit it I am adicted. It is my lifeline now. All emails come to it and facebook and twitter….sigh. Yes, addicted…thought I wanted the iphone but also with verizon and VERY happy with my crackberry! Good Luck and let us know what you decide.

Hello Di! Oh man, I'm glad you're feeling better. I sure hope you continue to recover fully.

Ok, so don't even think about it – get the iPhone! Seriously. It's the best phone ever. I had the Blackberry Pearl. My DH has another kind of Blackberry (can't remember which one) but his screen just can't compare to the iPhone.

    Best of luck!

So glad to hear you are better.
I love, love love my iPhone. I never thought I would say that about a mobile phone but it is so much more. I have instant entertainment whenever I'm stuck waiting anywhere. My husband also loves his. For months he would proclaim his love and admiration for it. lol
    Take care!

Glad to hear you are doing better! I have the iphone and LOVE it! I am not sure about a flash on it, b/c i never use the camera on it. I love the internet and email capabilities – allows me to get to everything remotely. We have great AT&T coverage here, so that's not a problem for me. I have a friend that just got the droid and she is so-so about it.

    Hope this helps!

SO GLAD to hear you're feeling better!!
I just want you to know that I too am hearing impaired and the speaker phone on the IPHONE is TOO quiet for me to hear clearly.
I now have the Droid and I LOVE it!!
Also, Apple is supposed to release the IPHONE to all carriers this summer sometime. So if that is what you decide and want to stay with Verizon you might want to hold off getting a phone for a few months.
    Good luck with your decision.
    All the best!

Hi Di, so sorry to hear about the scare! Used to get migraines, cluster headaches. Not fun at all. Re phones – do NOT get an HTC no matter what, mine died and support was awful (I am in Australia), I have gone to a Nokia E71. Reading what others say about the iphone, I know it sometimes can have problems, but seems pretty good according to friends who have it.

Re migraine vs stroke – strongly recommend that you get an MRI to confirm the doc's opinion, as then you KNOW that you have never had a stroke. You need to ensure that Eric has the correct family history here! Hope you don't mind this comment, but since I seem to have a family history of having almost everything, it is worth having data to backup what you THINK the family medical history is.

Love your work, keep going, you are a fantastic inspiration to all of us.
    Hugs

Wow, I'm so glad to hear that you're ok! I didn't read your post until just now. Sounds like you need to investigate a bit more and make sure you haven't had strokes. Sounds like you may have migraine issues and maybe they can help you with that!
Glad you're feeling better. Take it easy, and big hugs to you!

My husband has the droid and loves it. He does pay an additional $30 a month for internet access. He has a few friends who have the iPhone. They love it, but he wanted to stick with Verizon (better service in our neck of the woods) and waited for the droid. He only complaint is that it doesn't allow you to talk on the phone and surf the net at the same time. The iPhone does. Hope that helps.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
