Another beautiful card cased from Renée Van Stralen. Honestly I could go to her blog every day and just want to make what she does. Thank you Renée for all your sharing with me and everyone! I have a workshop with my Trilogy ladies and I usually demo a couple things and they have one make n take. This is the card they are going to do. There are going to be about 20 ladies there, so this card has so many different elements going on, no one should really be waiting on anything.
Isn't it gorgeous? I added an epoxy brad instead of a button, cause I have a bunch of those, and I loved the little bit of bling it brought to the card.
Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Kraft, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Real Red
Misc: Very Vintage jumbo wheel, My Way Punch, Chocolate Chip 1/4" epoxy brads, paper piercer, Chocolate Chip marker, Little Leaves Sizzlit die, Cutter Kit, Versamarker
So did you watch American Idol? It's getting down to the final 24. I am really liking Crystal the one that played the Harmonica and the guitar, but can not remember if they put her forward or not. Jessica who they did not, pleaded her case, and she reminds me of my little sister Courtney, in looks…not the pleading part. I am so glad they put Casey through, he is soooooooo good! I think Kara has a bit of a crush. Tomorrow will tell the rest of the ones coming forward.
After it was over I flipped it over to the Olympics to watch the men's skating. I wonder how they practice off the rink with no skates on, to me that seems hard, unless they are just practicing their moves and keeping limber. So the ones that wear the costumes make me think I am watching the Ice Capades, nothing wrong with the Ice Capades, in fact we went every year, and I would still love to go. I much prefer to watch the nicely dressed skaters, it seems like they are dressed for the job. There was a guy that was dressed in Bib-alls and then there was a sailer and a skeleton. The one American in the purple vest Jeremy that skated to the Beatles, I loved the music choice, too bad he made so many booboos. I did really like Takahiko Kozuka, he looked so awesome in his outfit, and skated so awesome. Oh well, hey they are at the Olympics, they can do whatever they want.
Well I got to finish cutting up my paper, and get packed for tomorrow. I got to be at Trilogy in the morning.
Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.
If you need to place a Stampin' Up! order, my on-line store is open 24/7 – Thank you so much!
LOVE the card – holy – do you have the link to her blog??
Luv ya
Jax
Yep, gorgeous card – I love her blog to and am a secret fan! Your party girls will love this!
I missed AI last night – I had stamp class and just kept the Olympics on – thanks for the update. 🙂 Glad Casey made it thru!
As far as the skaters I agree about the costumes – some are just over the top and are to distracting, I much prefer the clean, classic ones.
The off ice practice is really just a visualizaton for them. Emma does this before every competition and show. She has her music so ingrained in her head that she can just close her eyes and "do" the whole program anywhere. I love to go to the mall with her because she will walk out in front of us and pretty soon she will be 'skating' down the walkway! That's ok until she does a jump and spins around and knocks a little kid down! Just kidding! 🙂
wow, Diana, I didn't know I inspired you that much! You inspire me so often!
American Idol … yes I watch it too and I'm rooting for the two they put through first last night. I think it was the guy who's wife had a baby while he was auditioning and the girl who cries a lot and sang one of Kara's songs? We'll find out the other 17 tonight!
Hi Diana!! You do know that Aaron Kelly is related to our own Stampin' Queen, Miss Patti Pysher, don't you??? You didn't mention it here so I thought that maybe, just maybe, you didn't know! He made it through, YAYAYAYAY!! Love the card btw!! ;)Amie
Oh what a Gorgeous card, I may need to visit Renee and make this for my Mom!
