For my upcoming Technique Lover's Class in February, one of the techniques everyone will do is Faux Suede. I remember learning this technique years ago, but Donna Griffith from Stampin' Up! recently showed an adorable card, that I totally had to case. She used a rhinestone brad in the center of the flower, and I used an epoxy brad instead. At class it will be a button and gingham since the epoxy brads might not make it in time for class, they have been very popular, and are on back order, so I don't want to risk it.
What do you think? Cute eh?
Paper: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose
Ink: Basic Black

I love how you made this flower just pop off the page. I want to pick it and put it in a vase…Beautiful! Shelley
I don't get the faux suede thing….it looks like glitter?
Do tell…..

Love that flower. The border adds a lot to the edge!
Yes, so totally cute!! I LOVE that flower and most of all, how you used the sparkly chipboard for something other than a Christmas project. Clever girl!
Hard to know for sure, but it could be a male grosbeak. I live in South Dakota and we used to get them all the time. The females are pretty much drab, the male is the star – so pretty in the snow. It looks to be the same size as the one in your pic. Sometimes I don't worry so much what it is, I just love the beauty of it all. Oh ! and I love the flower on the birthday card !! Too cool.
