Holi-daze

This 'n' That

15 Dec

One of the stamp sets that I love having fun with is Holiday Lineup, especially the reindeer, remember this card?

But today I had fun with the elves instead. Let me tell you a little story, sure go get a coffee (oh try it with Belgium Chocolate Creamer, make me one while your at it…I'll wait).

The Christmas toy making season is over and the elves have been out celebrating, the economy has even hit Santa hard, and they were all crossing their fingers and pointy toe shoes that they would make it through another season without being laid off and they did.  A few of them had to clean out the reindeer stalls but a paycheck is a paycheck right?  The rosy cheeks and noses are caused by a few mugs of Guinness (I am thinking that seems more like what an elf would drink…with the big white foamy stuff on it). In fact Fred and Clarence the two elves on the left with the beards have even stopped dyeing their beards white. They have gone back to their old yellow cigar stained one.  Now they'll have more pocket change to buy an extra stogey a week since they don't have to slap down that nickle for bleach at the Barber Shop. They even toasted an extra Yo!Ho!Ho! (Santa reserves the right to the three Ho's) at Thee Ol' Tar & Bavern.

I had these fuzzy little balls in my cabinet forever, and they were perfect for the balls on the hats. Tomorrow, these hats will get hung in the closet, and the baseball caps will be going on instead.

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know Santa's elves a little better.

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

You know Diana, there aren't too many people with a great sense of humor. But it seems that those that have one are stampers! By the way, the bunny cards you shared made me LOL, especially the one where her ears are gone!

    Jax,
Remember that book I started like 20 years ago, I found it the other day while cleaning out a dresser. I have not looked at it to even remember what it was about, I just remember sending it to you and you were writing critique stuff on it.
    Love ya,

You have the greatest sense of humor, and I love how you roll it into your stampin' blogs!

    Merry Christmas!

Di, you make me giggle (so hard!!!) and I love your stories! I'd be one of the first in line to buy one of your books if you ever decided to write one. But in the meantime, I hope you keep sharing on your blog because it is some of the most fun I have in card blog world (nearly everyone else is just a little on the serious side most of the time, which is okay but your humor brightens my day so much! ;-))

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
