What Did I Tell You?

This 'n' That

14 Nov

The last part of my post yesterday was about Friday the 13th, and I almost made it. Crap, my dang camera strap that I am religious about wrapping around my wrist and anybody's wrist that uses my camera, so it does not fall, got hooked on this stupid thing by my desk so as I grabbed my camera, there it went on the floor!  I was like OH NO!!! But it turned on, and the buttons all work….EXCEPT the one that TAKES THE PICTURE! I could almost cry!! But I would rather curse… Son of a bleep!  I even took it apart cause I thought maybe just something was stuck under it, and nope.  So back together it went and still the same thing.  Can you hear me cursing?  I am…totally!  I mean I have had the camera for probably 6 years, but still it takes great pics, and videos, and I know how to use it.

I got out my OLD OLD camera, so I could take a picture of the card I did and it has NO Macro, I can't even figure out how to change it to CLOSE-UP, so I apologize how bad these pictures are, and I will re-take them.  Looks like I will be going shopping tomorrow…ugh!

This is an old Stampin' Up! stamp set, but I just wanted to play and color, and really it looks so much better then this HORRIBLE picture…..grrrrrrr….breath Di, take it easy….

Paper: Basic Black, More Mustard, Whisper White, Pawsitively Prints DSP

Ink: Basic Black

Misc: Crushed Curry Polka-dotted Grosgrain, black gingham ribbon, playground button

I even did the inside…

I mean look how dark it is, and it just does not look as nice as my other pictures with the other camera.  I even got out the old manual and it was saying do this and that for macro and close-up and I am looking all over for the button and then in little letters on the page I read.  For models blah!blah!blah! only……well duh, that aint mine.

I almost didn't post the pics, but I promised a new card and one with coloring, so here it is. I wanted to pop this card in the mail tomorrow too, but will have to wait till I can re-take the picture…cause I have a reputation to uphold…ha!

So if anyone has any suggestions on a new camera, let me know.  I am leaning towards getting another Nikon Coolpix as that is what I had before, (the one I dropped) and I am hoping it might just be upgraded a bit, but still easy to use, and program.  Online I looked at a Coolpix L20 and it seems nice and a great price too. I am an old dog and I HATE new tricks, so it can't do all sorts of fancy stuff. I want it to take regular batteries, and the same memory card, so I don't have to buy anything BUT the camera, and this one looks right up my alley. My fingers are crossed.

Well I better get to bed, I started to re-read New Moon last night, so I am all ready for next Friday when we go see it. That Friday will definitely be better…knock! knock!  (that was me knocking on wood…ha!)

Have a great Saturday, and thanks for stopping in!

There's a place in Tempe, http://www.tempecamera.biz/, they do great camera repairs. Super cheap. You might want to see if they can fix your camera for you, since you love it so much.

The card looks nice even with your crappy old camera. My suggestion would be the one that I got on the cruise. It's a great camera. AND IT'S WATERPROOF and you can take pictures underwater! It's a Pentax Optio – mine is a 6.0 megapixels, but I know that they have some with more megapixels then that. I would also suggest going with one that you have the battery (lithion) or something that you have to charge they last longer than just normal batteries. This camera also takes videos and can hook up to a tripod if you want and also does voice recording and has a macro setting, action settings and all kinds of other stuff and is EASY to use.
I figured you would go with the Nikon…isn't that the commercial Ashton Kutcher is on!!! My next camera will be a digital SLR – they are way more money, but I want one anyway!
    Luv ya
