Out of the Mouth of Babes

This 'n' That

18 Nov

The other night while I was watching the CMA's they had this little boy on there in the audience and they showed him singing in a video, and he gave a thumbs up to the camera, as he sat next to Kelli Pickler I think it was.  I thought he was the singer's son.

I have the BEST blog readers, I really do. Tracy McKenna sent me this link of the little boy. Now I realize he is not the singers son.  He is singing to Randy Houser's song. Now there are actually two songs so just hang on to listen to both.  He is adorable, and his expressions are priceless. Click here to see the video.

Thanks Tracy for sending it to me, I laugh at how cute he is, and oh I can hardly wait for the BBQ chicken salad recipe…ha!

The other day my Paper Craft Planet friends and I were chatting about our stamp rooms, and how messy they get, and we were kidding about having the guts to show it for real.  All of you have seen the pictures I have of my studio on my blog.  Those were kinda staged…meaning I moved piles around here and there to take the pictures.  A few people have emailed me wanting me to video tape my studio…that will be a bit harder won't it? ha!

So the other day I took a picture of what my room looked like at that moment.  With 3 classes in the works.  Ready? Maybe you should go sit down.

The closest table has stuff for upcoming classes, and the TLC Class stuff. The center table had Top Note Class stuff and my Christmas Stamp a Stack Class stuff.  The far table to the right holds my paper cutters and Big Shot.

Look at the floor under the Big Shot table…yikes!

But it cleans up pretty easy.

Here it was all ready for my TLC Class the next day.  If the ladies only knew the roomed looked like a tornado whipped through it the day before.

So after a day or so it did not take long for it to look like this…

These are 360 cards ready for my Stamp a Stack class. Added since post: Linda asked me if this is how the class attendees will get their supplies? These are just the stacks for me so I can sort them.   I will package each persons 15 card supplies (card guts I call them) in a Stampin' Up! cello bag.  They will sit with a tote and the tote has the inks, and stamps, ribbons etc. to make the cards.  Holler if you want to explain better ok?

These are the 52 Top Notes headed to class at the Trilogy tomorrow….and this is me saying Night Night so I can get up and be all bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning.

Hoped you enjoyed seeing some reality pictures…ha!

Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

Very proud of you for showing….stampers that work usually do have MESSY rooms. You might just inspire me to show mine. It's very scary. I have someone who comes in once a week and cleans it because I hate to do that part! But, she's off this week!
    Love,
    Ronda

    Jax,

Those totes I picked up a few years back at a big box store. They are kinda shoebox size but taller, they stack inside each other so are great when I am not using them.

I have numbers written on the end for my 10/10/20 classes.

    Hugs,

    Di

Man, you ARE brave for showing your studio "in work mode":)) Unfortunately yours still looks neat and tidy compared to the way mine looked yesterday. I think I could have used a shovel…well, almost. I had piles of DSP and cardstock all over my table while creating projects for a craft fair this weekend and working on my stamp-a-stack projects. I did do some cleaning last night, but I still wouldn't show my room the way it is now:))!!

    Hi Di,
When you do your stamp-a-stack you mentioned that you put them in a tote, would you have multiple inks at any given time? I love how you organized it. I only wish that I can be as organized as you.
    Hugs,
    Liz

    Hi Liz,

I have at least 2 of every color, and some I have up to 4. I try not to repeat colors if I dont have to though.

Sometimes with the DSP, you get kinda forced to repeat colors.

I also have multiples of certain accessories, punches, aqua painters, stamp a ma jigs, things like that.

Holler if you have any more questions.

    Hugs,

    Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
