Brothers & Sisters

This 'n' That

17 Nov

Too much drama? I'm afraid so. I enjoy a bit of drama on tv, and a bit in life too. But too much…nope. Life's too short for drama.

OK, so I have followed this show since it started but lately I feel like it is just TOO much…did I say too much? ha!

Here is my two cents, or whatever it's worth…oh and if you have not seen Sunday's episode you probably don't want to read this and spoil it…

Justin and Rebecca: last week it ended the same way, she wants to tell him she is pregnant, and he is blabbering off how busy he is and doesn't give her a chance.

Sarah and Luc: OK, so this hunky french man follows Sarah to America, everyone loves him, including Sarah's kids.  He cleans, and helps with the kids, and cooks. She loves him, he seems to love her, but she pesters him about where they are headed, and blah!blah!blah! So he leaves.

The Winery: Finally something is going their way, the wine is extraordinary, and they even win an award, only to have Ryan the little creep ruin it for them by emptying it all and ruining it…and umm…wouldn't that be locked up? When that happened I said out loud "oh give me a break", and that might have been the part where I thought…perhaps I am done with this show.

Nora: She has a younger then her hottie, who really likes her, but she cares what everyone else thinks, till she gets a little jealous and then tells off the rich snobby woman and leaves her with her mouth hanging open..ha! Loved how he came back to her and she explained herself. Maybe this will be a good storyline yet.

Kitty & Robert:  I think they need to be on more, I loved how she was calling her wig the girlfriend.

Saul: I love him and wish his character was on more, he totally reminds me of MAMMa's hubby Daddy Vinni, and its like I get to see him every week.

Kevin & Scotty: I want them to just find a surrogate and get on with the story line, they are dragging it out too much.

Holly: she has the character you love to hate, and I kinda wish her and…crap I can't remember who plays her boyfriend, Rebecca's dad…(Ken Olin) but they are married in real life, I wish they would get their own show and maybe a comedy.  I loved them years ago in Thirtysomething.

Tommy: Perhaps he was the lucky one to escape all the meddling and drama…

All right did I miss anyone?

All right let's get to the fun stuff.  Eric lost his crown last night so I had to make him a dentist appt today. What sucks is once he turned 21 he does not have dental insurance anymore, so this might be a pricey tooth, as they say his root canal needs to be retreated, and then a new crown. So after we were at the dentist we went over and rented a few movies, The Watchman (its got my Jeffrey Dean in it), The Land of the Lost (I am not a super big fan of Will Ferrell, but loved this show on tv as a kid) and The Ugly Truth which we watched tonight, it had some very funny parts and then it kinda lagged…but it has Gerard Butler in it so I survived..ha!

So I wanted to do a quick card and use a stamp set that I had not used yet, AND I wanted to copy a card from the catalog.  I mean why not?  The samples this year are amazing.   I just changed the colors.

DSCN9650 copy
Stamp Set: Wellness Wishes

Paper: Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Very Vanilla

Ink: Basic Black

Misc: Stumps, Watercolor Pencils, Sansodor, Striped Black Wide grosgrain, Plyaground Buttons

I still need to play with my camera, this looks blurry and a bit dark.  I took the picture late at night and that does not help either, but I do need to read up on it some more.

You will notice this new little icon on my blog MDS_certifiedlogo_rdax_215x115 this means I am now Certified to teach My Digital Studio, a great new program for making scrapbook pages, books, cards, calendars, and even videos.  I watched a bunch of webinars, and had to answer questions, and do some challenges, and today it is official. Fun eh?

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

I don't watch Brothers and Sisters although I love Sally Field – is she still in it? That card is cute. Sucks about Eric's crown -can he not get dental insurance some how else??
I would not like to have to pay for all my dental bills. YIKES.
Congratulations on being certifiable…er I mean certified!!

I like your sick as a dog card. I like to case the catty samples too. Saves me from having to think sometimes. I also enjoyed seeing your card using the older stamp the other day. I have lots of sets that are older. I do not want to get rid of them and it is good to see new ideas and current colors used with these sets to keep them going. Thanks for all your inspiration.

    Hi Kathryn,
Don't you just love some of the old Stampin' Up! sets?

I love to get them out once in a while. They almost cry when I add the ink to them, cause they have been sitting for so long.

    Hugs,
    Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
