Well not like leaving it to the last minute…that's me Last Minute Nellie.
As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator we had till today to order an 8×8 album at a reduced price, that way we could get our feet wet (mine are all pruney), and have a book to show our customers. I started one a while ago and I wanted to do one about our Stampin' Up! Incentive trips. It took me longer then I thought, I guess I should have maybe pulled the photos I wanted into one file and let the MDS figure it out, but nope, I did it myself, and 5 years of trips and me still getting used to the system, and my computer being a poop took me a while, but I got it done, and I can hardly wait to see the book. I can hardly wait till Jeff sees it.
Here are a couple of the pages to show you, I just grabbed some here and there. I think I did 30 pages.
The cover, I love this picture of us. I wish I had of scuffed up the cover a bit with some of the special effects you can do. I am learning as I go, plus I was in a hurry..ha!
I also love this picture, this was our first incentive trip and Alaska was where Jeff was headed when he met me in Canada, he never made it to Alaska until we earned the Stampin' Up! trip. It was our 20 Anniversary year that year…not too long to wait to get to Alaska right? We are crossing our fingers we earn the Alaska trip for 2011. We learned from the first time what excursions to pass on, and what ones not to miss.
This is walking around in town, and I think it was Ketchikan, but I was not sure so didn't want to print that in case I was wrong, I will definitely keep better records now, cause I will be scrapbooking much more now, plus it won't be 5 years later that I do up the album.
This was our first girl's trip. The cruise was going to the Mexican Riviera and Jeff and my BFF Tracy's hubby Steve did not want to go. So I took my little sister Jacqui (Jax), and Tracy took her friend Mary. We had a blast.
This was the next year to the Panama Canal, we took the old ball and chains again…ha! Only kidding, I'll see what comment I get from Jeff when he gets home from work (he reads my blog every morning). I am sure they both are enjoying the flowers on their page. Ha!
The famous Muster Drill. Grab your life jacket and head to the deck, they call out your cabin cause everyone has to be accounted for. Don't we look so colorful? Does this life jacket make my butt look big?
These men, sometimes I don't know what we did to deserve them, and some days I don't know WHAT we did to DESERVE them? Get my drift? I am so glad that my hubby and my BFF's hubby get along so well, it is just too bad we don't get to see them enough. These pictures make me laugh and sad at the same time.
Here's my back cover, just like a stamped card…ya gotta put your name on the back right?
Well I hope you enjoyed looking at a few of my pages from my first, and definitely not the last book.
Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in!
oooooo the cruise…..good times for sure!
Luv ya
Jax
I love your pictures and it looks like everyone had a great time! I hope you get to go back to Alaska too.
Awesome book Di!! Would you mind sharing with me what percent you have your shadow at on your embellishments (like the flowers?)? I love how nicely they look with the drop shadow and I think mine is more faint than that, but when I make it darker it doesn't look "real" but yours looks great!!! Nicely done!!
Hi Marie,
I am glad you like it, I can hardly wait to hold it in my hands and look at it.
I had to go look cause I have no idea what I did, I just clicked and did it.
It says:
Opacity 96%
Blur -2
Pixel offset: X:1 Y:1
I hope that makes sense, plus I told it to do it to all the embellishments in the whole book, so I did not have to keep doing it. Same with the pictures, they have a drop on all of them. I love shadows!
Hugs,
Di
Thanks Di! I think I messed with my settings initially but I guess I'll put them back the way they were 😉
