So I promised I would show you the other project from my Big Shot class that is this weekend. I also demonstrated it tonight at Heather's workshop. What fun, I got to meet a bunch of fun new gals, and I always love hanging out with Heather, she is so talented, I want to bottle her up. Plus her house was decorated so cute for Halloween, makes me want to decorate mine.
I will show you the cards I demonstrated in the next couple days. One is from my Autumn Splendor class, and it is beautiful if I may say so myself. They all made a beautiful Christmas card, that was easy but elegant too.
So anyway back to this cute little box. I first saw one at my upline and good buddy Rhonda's. I loved it as soon as I seen it. So I knew I would want to do it for my next Big Shot class, at the time I didn't have the die, but I do now. Ha!
Isn't this so cute?
And here it is stuffed…it holds chocolate bars, and hey that gift card looks cute in there too.
Stamp Set: Christmas Punch, Sweet Season
Paper: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Shimmery White, Holiday Lounge DSP
Ink: Sahara Sand, Taken With Teal
Misc: Big Shot, Box #2 Die, Sticky Strip, Large Oval punch, Corner Rounder punch, Jumbo Snowflake punch, Pretties – Half Back Pearl, Organza ribbon
So I think Heather, and her niece and who else was telling me? I can't remember. They have me talked into calling Direct TV and changing one of our cable boxes into a DVR thing. When we originally switched over to satellite they asked if I wanted a DVR and I was like what would I use that for? Well tonight would have been handy. I could have taped or DVR'd Greys Anatomy and Vampire Diaries…I wonder if I can DVR two different shows? When I call them to cancel the movie stations that we got for free for 3 months (I am keeping HBO – I can't NOT have my Trueblood) Now with the DVR, I can tape my Sunday night shows and not miss anything…the question is, do I put the DVR in my studio or the living room?
Well while I ponder that big question, I am signing off for this evening, I have a class tomorrow night at MAMMa's, and I can hardly wait.
Have a great Friday, and thanks for stopping in!
Hey Di,
You sure can DVR 2 programs at one time. As a matter of fact, I DVR'd Vampire Diaries and Grey's just last night. Or is it that Grey's and CSI are on at the same time. Anyway….the DVR is well worth it! You can pause live TV with it too. Love that!
Sandy
Hi! You can also rewind live tv–it's great! I never thought I would use the DVR, but now I would be lost without it! Have a great day, Melissa
here call them a PVR – but it is first on my list of things I have to have
you can record a show while you are watching a different show and you can do two at once – the things are awesome!
You can get them at Costco here – so I would shop around before you decide to get one where you have to be bound to a contract or something like that
Luv ya
Jax
I have DISH. I don't know how much TV you watch in your studio, but I like to be able to watch "what I want" while I'm stamping. I have a "dual" receiver and it's hooked into the TV in the kitchen, so I can tape two shows at the same time. I can watch either taping from either TV, so I would say put the receiver in your studio with a link to your living room TV. ha. Good luck
YES YES on the DVR/Tivo — love it and live tv stinks b/c you cannot skip through the commercials!
Hmmm on which room – it really depends on where you want to watch your shows. We wish we had it on TWO tv's!
and YEAH I made your blog!! Love how your little giftie tote turned out! Adorable!
Hugs
Rhonda
I have Dish and I have the main box in the Living Room.. but a TV in bedroom too… and it uses separate remotes and can dvr on both tvs at the same time… and can watch them on either tv… i like it better than Direct for that reason
That is so cute.. okay so since I am naturally blonde could you post a tutorial????
Oh and now that you have tivo you wont want to watch commercials ever again! lol
