I will be quick tonight, and show what everyone will be making at my Autumn Splendor class this weekend. I have 3 seats left, so let me know if you want to attend. The class is $40.00, and includes the Stamp Set Autumn Splendor as well as the Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper. You will be making the projects shown here.
I just grouped them all together for now, but will show them individually over the next few days, so I can describe them better, and also share who inspired me, or who I cased from.
Enjoy, this is a beautiful stamp set and the DSP is delicious:

So when we had our September to Remember event, the very talented Barbara Welch brought her awesome display board. She had made it for a family event and then turned it into a great display board, so I knew I would want Jeff to make me one. I told him about it and he went to the lumber store and got magnetic paint, mvd wood, and frame stuff.
So last weekend, he made it, well it turned out great but the magnetic paint is pretty dang weak if you ask me, (I wouldn't waste my money on that stuff) so I am just using my removable sticky things to hold stuff on to it. But I love the black look, so clean, and lean.
Here it is…cool eh? The class clipboard sign up sheets are underneath, I used to have 8, but now just have 4, so instead of one clipboard being one day, each clipboard will be one class, and all the days are on different sheets underneath each other…clear as mud?
So I got a danged old cricket chirp, chirp, chirping in my studio and I have no idea where he is, or how to get rid of it…any ideas? I just know if he is still chirping away in the morning, I am not putting my ears in…see if that will help…ha!
Well like I said…short and sweet today…I got some class paper to cut.
Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.
Di, these cards are beautiful!!! Hey! Can I expect another sweet surprise on Thursday?
Hugs!
Vicki
OOOO I wish I was close enough to take that class. those cards look great. My friend had a cool thing for hanging her stuff up – her hubby went and got some tin – then he spray painted it a nice soft metallic silver and the magnets stuck good to it
it was simple but look nice and sleek.
Jeff did a great job on yours. It's nice to have a handy hubby huh?
Girl you should warn someone that they are gonna drool… 🙂 Love those amazing cards I JUST ordered that set I know what the heck took me so long! lol Can't wait to play.
Vicki,
Is it Jactopia? Sorry, I won't be there, but have an caramel apple martini on me, and pack your Depends.
Big hugs, miss you,
Di
Jax,
The tin might have been cheaper, I guess I thought the magnetic paint would actually do what it says it would do.
Love ya,
Di
Ellie,
I guess I should put some sort of keyboard warning on my blog…not responsible for damages from drooling, crying, or spitting out beverages on keyboard….ha!
Hugs,
Di
Oh wow! Those Autumn Splendor cards are beautiful. I wish I could take your class. Montana isn't too far away to take one of your classes, right? LOL. They are gorgeous cards!
Di,
She said she used 4 coats of paint to get it strong enough for the magnets to hold. The can says only 2 (I think).
Hi Dana,
Yeah I talked to Barbara about it, and we did four and it just does not have the magnetic strength I wanted.
Looks nice though!
Hugs,
Di
Pesky things, those crickets! We had one living in our outlet – what was he thinking? I guess he knew we couldn't spray anything in there to get at him.
Good Luck and great projects for your class!
Hi Val,Well your box tutorial makes it so nice to give them as a gift. You box pro you!Hugs, Di
