Artisan Challenge for October

3-D Items

2 Oct

One of the fun things I am enjoying about being part of the Artisan Award Winners is the friendships that I have with the other girls.  I am hosting a Winter swap with the rest of the girls and those cards are arriving every day in my mail box.  The cards are amazing and I will share the cards with you in a week or so, I have to make sure the girls get their cards back in the mail and I don't want to spoil the surprise by posting the cards ahead of time.

One of the other fun things is I get a goodie box each month with a challenge, and  I can choose to do the challenge, but if I am busy doing other things, it is not a requirement. So far, I have done every one of them, I mean heck Stampin' Up! is nice enough to send me free stuff, I think I can make the time to send in my projects.  I have one due on October 15th that I have to get crackin' on.  But this is the one I sent in last month for the October challenge.  The challenge was to use the stamp set Grateful Greetings, and since it went up on the Stampin' Up! site yesterday, all is clear and a-go for me to post too.  I must admit this was so much fun, and I could hardly wait till it got posted.

Artisan Oct Challenge I found these cute little tins at a local craft store and knew that the black would come in handy, especially with Halloween right around the corner.

Artisan Oct Challenge1 Here is the lid.  I just cut the little pumpkin head and hat off the pumpkin base to sit on top of the Goblin.

Artisan Oct Challenge2 Here's the card.  I used the Scallop Circle to make the card, I just cut and scored and folded my card before I ran it through the Big Shot, I had the scored and folded edge positioned so it did not get cut, so now the card is a circle card…cute eh? The notchy circle is actually the base to the Baskets and Blooms Die.

Here's the recipe:

Stamp Set: Grateful Greetings, Twick or Tweet

Ink: Basic Black

Paper: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Night & Day Specialty DSP

Misc: Watercolor Pencils, 1 1/4" black Striped ribbon, Dimensionals, Scallop Circle #2 Die, Clear Circle Bigz Die, Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL Die, Circles #2 Originals Die, Backgrounds 1 Texturz Texture Plates

Well I am gonna get off here, I need to get my swap done and my make n takes cut for my downline meeting this Saturday, plus Vampire Diaries is coming on, then Greys and oh yeah Private Practice.

Have a great Friday, and thanks for stopping in!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
