Twilight Fun – Part One

This 'n' That

12 Sep

This will be a quickie post, hence the part one.  Today MAMMa had a Twilight party, and a bunch of us were invited.  What a blast.  I will tell more tomorrow, but I quickly wanted to share a few pictures, and my swap card. We were supposed to do a Twilight inspired card, and well I put my old thinking cap on, and you know how crooked that usually is, and this is the card I came up with.

DSCN9198 copy Stamp Set: Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories, Compliments to the Chef, Itty Bitty Backgrounds

Ink: Going Gray, Soft Suede, Basic Black

Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White

Misc: Watercolor crayons, sansodor, stumps, scallop circle punch for rain clouds

So just in case you are not a Twilight fan, the movie/book is set in Forks, Washington, and Bella has a red old truck…so basically it is Bella and Edward driving through Forks…hey I had to think out of the coffin box.

So I will share a couple pictures, and post more tomorrow, it is super late, I have to get up early as I have class in the morning.

DSCN9202 copy This is me, Diana Cullen, Rhonda Cullen, MAMMa Cullen (oh yeah we all changed our last names to Cullen tonight)

We were having to be quick to get our pictures taken since we are vampires and all, and this was painful, the hot sun…ha!

DSCN9204 copy Here we are biting each other, except MAMMa, she was behaving like a good Mum will. I don't know if you can see our bite marks, a little sharpie marker and red nail polish and voila' you've been bit!

We were laughing so hard. Rhonda even had sparkly spray stuff on and make up under her eyes, AND she had to go into Walgreens on the way to MAMMa's in her get-up, I did my shopping ahead of time…ha!

I had to cement my fangs in and wanted them to sit up for a while.

I will share more photos and stories tomorrow, I am beat, and ugh I ran over a snake on the way home. I was freakin' out, I called Melissa and was saying if you run over a snake it won't somehow wrap itself around, or flip itself in my wheel and climb in the car, and she said no…just to be on the safe side I tried to run over every pot hole on the way home, just to jar it loose just in case.

Well this is it for me tonight, and I will chat with you tomorrow!

Have a great Saturday, and thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

Looks like a great time! I would love to stamp with you gals, but your writing about snakes freaks me out! Not afraid of vampires, but snakes put me up the wall!

Didn't our mother spend lots of money to get rid of those fangs!!!!! That sounds like a fun party. And the snake thing….you have been thinking that since you were a kid….remember riding your bike down the laneway and thinking if you ran over the snake it would wind itself around your bike tire!!!
    too funny
    I miss you
    Love ya lots

OMG, the pictures! And the stories… ha! We did have fun but I am so glad I didnt have to ride home with you… the snake thing just creeped me out big time! You know that's how it happened to me, ran over it w/my motorcycle and it coiled up in my front wheel — phobic ever since. ugh, now to go read something lovely to get this snake thing out of my mind before i go to bed!

This would also work for a just moving or some other life change card with a legend of "turn at the fork in the road" or some such thing. Love the idea Di you really have that out of the coffin thinking going!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
