The other day when I went outside I noticed a mud thingie on the side of the house, it reminded me of a little mexican clay pot that would hang on the side of the house you would put flowers in. Now this was the size of my pointer fingernail, so not many flowers would fit in it. Ha!
So tonight I saw there was a second one and this one was sealed, so I asked Jeff, what he thought it could be. Well there were a bunch of these bugs
just hanging around on the same wall, so we were like maybe that is what is in it. And I was like how long does it take a bug to make that? How does it bring the mud, and does he build it with his mouth or his butt?
Then as Jeff and Eric left to go to the football game, Jeff said "hey, it's a wasp" and sure enough there he was…and hey it builds it with its mouth!!!
So I looked on line and found this link and it is very interesting, the link shows ones in Australia, but I am sure it is similar. I will leave it be, and when the pest control people come I will ask them to remove them, it sure is interesting though. Nature sure is something.
OK, so since you didn't come here to look at a wasp mud nest, here is another card from my 10/10/20 class, the Trilogy ladies had their class today, and I love these ladies they are so much fun, I headed over to Ellie's after, and we chatted, and then her hubby Ed came home, and was amazing us with his stories, we need to get Jeff and Ed to meet cause I know they would hit it off…heck they like the same kind of food, wings and beer, and they have great taste in wives…ha!
This card was inspired by Amy's card (hey sistah) and I just tweaked it.
Stamp Set: Sweet Season

Cute eh?
Well this girl is off to bed, I have class in the morning…10 fun girls are coming over to do the 10/10/20 Christmas class.
Have an awesome Saturday, and thanks so much for stopping in, I hope I didn't gross you out too much with the whole wasp thing…I thought it was cool.
Ahh..can you leave the little wasp to hatch? It would be intersting to see…poor mum had to catch the spiders for the baby to eat and and all.
I know..I am such a wiener…LOL
Cute card!!
Hey Di – We call those mud daubers here in Texas! I love the card – you tweaked it perfectly! Thanks for sharing, Renee Winch
You are way too nice – I'd be stompin on the little wasp house!

Hi Di. I am doing my first 10-10-20 class in a couple of weeks. The classes are almost full! Do you just have every one start with each box and say go? Are they pretty much on their own to make each card or do you go over all of them before you start? How long is the class usually? Love your cards for your class.
Right now, I am leaving him "bee".
But I don't want a wasp problem.
The pest guys come next week.
It is funny though, there are two other ones that look like the wasp tried to make them and they broke so like the link said they get better each time she makes them.
Hugs,
Di
Hi Debbie,
I have 10 totes, and everyone works on a card. Usually if there is something really different I will explain it to the whole class at once, otherwise I just go around and check on people and answer questions and give them tips etc. Most people have stamped before and don't need much help.
When I have newbies at class, I try to stick by them, and most people are super about helping each other.
Classes usually take 3-4 hours, depending on the cards. Have fun!
Hugs,
Di
I live in Louisiana and we have these little "critters" all over the place. They are called Mud Dubbers. They are harmless, but the little mud homes are so stinking cute!
Hi Diana!!
You are SO funny!! "Amazing us with his stories"????!! The part that is hard for me to swallow is the word "amazing"!! I guess after living with the guy for over 25 years, I am not amazed!! HA!! We DO need to get our guys to meet–and maybe they could each have someone to commiserate with!! 🙂
I love the new banner! And of course the card is beautiful!!
We've had the wasps at both of our homes in the valley, at the old house it was really cool to watch them land on the water of the pool and collect water to mix with the mud to make their nests. At this house they like to nest right by the front door. I don't mind so much but I don't want them to get sucked into the house by the door opening! Plus, guests don't like being greeted by a mother wasp!
hugs~
Ellie, Well the pest guys came yesterday when I had class and I didnt know they were even here, now the nests are knocked open and nothing there…don't know if the Mum did it or the pest guys…
Hugs,
Di
Hi Diana,
Gingerbread is my fav, and Ginger is one of my fav. spices. I love your card! Very beautiful!
Hi Di: Love the card — usually love them all. We have the mud daubers here in WV too. Since we have a log home the wasps love to use the indentations between the logs for their shelter. However, since we don't want every wasp within 20 miles building their nest on our home, we have to keep knocking them down. Very interesting lesson you provided us, however. Thanks.
Wow, very cool wasp mud hives. As much as I think they are cool, I would be getting rid of them as well. Thanks for sharing.
