…3 1/2 months away! Holy Moly, you best be working on those Christmas cards. I am so bad every year I say I am gonna get those done early and then I am doing them last minute.
I did however schedule my 10/10/20 Christmas card class earlier this year hoping that it will help other people not procrastinate like I do. I also have a Christmas card Stamp a Stack planned in November for those like me, or those people who met more people in the 2 months prior and need more cards…ha!
This is one of the cards that everyone will be making at my class, I have to tell you, I hope you are sitting down. I only have one…yes you read that correct…one card that is a coloring card…what? get up off the floor, I am not fibbing, I want people to be able to make 100 of these cards, and not still be working on them next Christmas, so that is what I did when I designed them, I kept saying keep it simple silly, KISS for short.
Wanna see one? You know I am only going to show you one, I have oodles to do and will milk these cards as long as I can, there are 10 of them, so that is…10 days of posting, plus still a couple more cards from MAMMa's class and anything else I whip up in the meantime. I am working on Artisan challenges and I have 2 projects for UStamp, I got all my supplies ordered today for classes, so am good to go there.
Paper: Taken with Teal, Sahara Sand, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Holiday Lounge DSP
Ink: Taken With Teal Craft
Misc: White Tafetta, Dazzling Diamonds
Tip: Stamp the snowman head on a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and cut out the carrot nose, then glue over top Taken with Teal stamped snowman, now he has a carrot nose.
Well, is this cute or what? And look MAMMa no hands colorin'!
Today I had the best time, I met Ellie (hey honey, pat those precious cats for me, and Ed too…ha!) for lunch at The Deli…ok if you have not been to The Deli out here in the boonies of Queen Creek, you do not know what you are missing…I forgot my danged old camera, or I would have taken a picture of my sandwich, you know I would have eh? You have got to go, they use local food, meat from the Pork Shop, olive oil from the Queen Creek Olive Mill, local bread, they have veggies grown in a garden instead of in a factory, cause admit it the tomatoes we buy in the stores in AZ are horrible. Everything was delectable, and well if they have the french onion soup, be ready for your toes to curl, perhaps you're gonna wanna wear flip flops that day. Let me know if you go, and let me know what you ate. I had the carrot cake for desert, and let me tell you, I have a bruise on my chin where it dropped to the table in cheer delight at the taste. There were real honest to goodness carrots in it, and the icing…I could eat a bucket of it. Well enough of that chit chat, makes me hungry.
I also went and picked up my Artisan bracelet, I had a different clasp put on it, the toggle kept coming undone, I also stopped off and saw MAMMa and her daughter Jennifer ( my AZ sis). I love days like this. Oh to win the lottery to have more of them. Perhaps in Hawaii visiting with Jen T. drinking a Mai Tai at a pool floatie bar thingie…yeah I can dream right? In the dream I am a size 3! So I look really good in a bikini…
Well this carrot butt (I mean it had to go somewhere right?) is off for the night, thanks for stopping in and have a super Wednesday!
That's a cute card! and even if there is not any colouring on it…I would say it is anything but simple…I'm sure it's quick to put together, but it doesn't "look" like a simple card. It's great!
Luv ya
Jax
Adorable card, Di! I always love the tealy blues and greens and pinks for wintery cards! Hugs, Nicole
Two cool dudes – I guess his buddy went for a hike?? Seriously – very fun card – looks good even from the floor. 😀 And the food sounds fab. Now I'm the one who's hungry and Sandycat is worried about the way I'm eyeing her bowl!! With no snacks in the house I can't help wondering just how bad could cat kibble be…..??
Hugs – Jean
Too cute! Love the colors and the layout – I think I'm casing this!
Di,
Love the card! So stinkin' cute. That's funny about your bracelet, I can barely get my bracelet on and off because my toggle is so tight. Glad you got it fixed, don't want you to lose that!
