A Little Chocolate for Your Sweet Tooth

This 'n' That

7 Sep

Today's Color Challenge is a fun one.  I love chocolate, I prefer milk chocolate, and especially chocolate from Canada.  I think it is creamier or something.  The chocolate from the US sometimes has like a waxy taste.  Although give me a Linder Truffle and oh man that is good stuff.  I like to keep them in the refrigerator, try it next time you buy those.  The little inner gooey stuff gets all hard, and when you eat it after it is cold, I swear you can taste it better.

Color challenge inspration 3 I was looking around on the internet and I found this cute bedroom set and so I thought hey there is a great color combo, pretty easy too.

Stamping With Di - Color Challenge #3You have until Sunday September 13th at noon AZ time to do the challenge, upload a card to your blog, or Paper Craft Planet, or Splitcoast stampers, and link it in your comment here on this post.   I will enter all the names into a hat and pick a winner for my card…it's all for fun, and I love color sketches, they are so easy.  Wanna play?

Here is my card, I got the layout from a card in Card Maker Magazine. Good luck and have fun with the challenge.

DSCN9176 copy Stamp Set: Whoo's Your Valentine, Grateful Greetings

Paper: Kraft, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Watercolor Paper, Nouvea Chic DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Going Gray, Bashful Blue, Rose Red

Misc: Chocolate Striped grosgrain, Chocolate 5/16" brads, Scallop border punch, White gel pen, blender pen

(added since post:  It says Chew Chew, cause it is a set for valentine treats so really it would go with candy)

So today I am going to be cutting paper for the next couple weekends of classes.  Jeff has the whole week off, gotta love those flux furlough days…till he gets his next paycheck…ugh!

I have added Feedblitz back on my blog (over on the top left) if you want to sign up to be notified when I update my blog.  It should send you a note to your email box.  You can also use the Reader link and that also signs you up too.  That way you don't miss anything.  (added since original post – Please note the last few days it has been acting up….but hang tight ok, I messed with it last night and hopefully fixed it…I aint going anywhere, so keep checking back…let me know if you are having problems in a couple days, cause I have found that Feedblitz is a couple days late.)

If you want to subscribe to my email newsletter that talks about classes, specials, tips etc. (this is different then my blog), then you need to email me at digibbs@stampingwithdi.com and let me know you want signed up for that too.

Have a great Labor Day, see you tomorrow for a video tutorial, and thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

    Hi Di!
I noticed this when I got my cataog. Shouldn't the "chew chew" be "Choo Choo"?
Chew Chew looks like you should be eating something.

I love this colour combination. I redid my bathroom this year and used Brown and Blue. It is so calming. Cute, Cute card.

I have been blog/internet absent for a while. Congratulations on the Artisan Award. Well deserved.

Cute card. But my question is where did the inspiration picture come from? I do hope it's a 'purchasing' web site and not a blog. I've been looking for something just like that for my spare bedroom. Please, oh please, oh please share where the pic came from. Thanks, Cathy

Love the color combo! I get lots of great ideas from your blog. I think we are in the same extended stamping "family."

I am also happy to count myself amongst the Twilight fans out there! I've enjoyed your last 2 posts very much.

    Here's my card:

I am loving the cards you are all doing for this weeks challenge.

A hint for tomorrow's new color challenge, in case you want a jump start….think:
White, Ballet Blue, Gable Green & Apricot Appeal.

Oh and the bedding picture was from SweetPeaches

    Hugs,
    Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
