A little birdie told me…

This 'n' That

18 Sep

…that Jeff's birdhouse was Number 1, Flat Tire Farms…some of you recognized the white highlighting on the sign and that helped them pick that one was his!!!! Some of you guessed right and some didn't but this was so much fun, and I loved the comments.  Some of you suggested they enter them into a contest, some said to ebay them…right now Jeff's is sitting out in the back yard on the wooden table he made.  I am sure that Jim's is safely nestled inside his house, after cutting all those little pieces of wood to pile up, I am sure he does not want anything to happen to it…thanks to everyone for playing along.  I didn't even count to see who got the most votes on here, cause I agree they are both winners, and masterpieces in their own right.  Added: To clear up any confusion, Jeff's birdhouse was Flat Tire Farms, and Jim's was Deer Antler Barn.  The votes from class, had Jim win by 1 vote, and I did not count the votes from here.

Quick link to this week's color challenge – I am trying to figure out how to keep this on the top each week automatically…so its not stuck in like a sore thumb.

So tomorrow I have a private 10/10/20 Christmas class at Lois' house and I am looking forward to seeing everyone.  Lois just got back, cause she is a snowbird…hmmm….maybe Jeff could whip her up a little house with a stamping room in it?  Just kidding.  But anyway Lois and her hubby are back, and the rest of the girls that stay all summer have been teasing her about all the fun she has been missing, since they have been able to come to classes and stuff.  Don't ya love friends like that? I know I do.

So anyway, I am packing up my totes, and getting all ready, so I will post a quick card that I got in the mail. I love RAK's, and this one made my jaw drop. I got an email from the sweetest Beverlee Morales, and she asked if she could send me a card, and I said sure and gave her my address….OMG! when I got this card I was like What? I had not seen this done before with the ornament punch and such an elegant card too.  Tell me what you think? Jaw dropping aint it?

Beverlee Morales

Stamp Set: Delightful Decorations, Grateful Greetings

Paper: Brushed Gold, Whisper White, Bride Specialty Paper

Ink: Versamark (or gold and silver encore pads)

Misc: Silver and Gold embossing powder, or you could use clear if you use the encore pads, 1/2" circle punch and heart to heart punch, eyelet border punch

I swear that Beverlee sent the recipe, but now I can't put my fingers on it, I will find it in a day or two…

Thanks for the awesome card Beverlee!

So I got a nice letter today from Stampin' Up! congratulating me again on the Artisan Award and in it was a picture of us all on stage, I am so glad they sent it, cause you saw the one I had…ha!  This one is awesome of all of us.

Artisan picture001 copy Back row: Summer, Angie, Cindy, me, Shanna, Shelley

Front Row: Jolene, Fran, Lisa, Mary Jo, Shelli

Well I am back to packing up and checking my list twice…I feel like Santa.

Have a great Friday everyone, and thanks for stopping in!

So do you mean Jeff's was number one as in the first one you showed on your blog (Flat Tire Farms) or that Jeff's was number one in the picking of the ones people liked the best?

That card is way cool using the ornaments as fish!
    luv ya

So, I'm from Minnesota and I'm thinking, "Why does a snowbird come back in September?" lol Anyway, I love this card! I can't believe you thought to use the ornament punch to make fish!

    Thanks for sharing.
