What’s a Body Attachment?

3-D Items

29 Aug

So Jeff got another Jury Duty thing….he gets one once in a while from Maricopa County and we have to call and say we don't live there (for the 5th time), and then they remove him (till the next time), and then pronto we get one from Pinal County where we do live.

So on the bottom of the summons thing it says: "Failure to report or call may result in a body attachment or contempt of court charges."  Now the last part I understand, but the first part…body attachment, what the heck is that? and could I possibly pick out the body attachment to be attached?  My mind is thinking…   BladeTrinity002 …the six pack of Ryan Reynolds in Blade, or perhaps…

Lgpp31687+robert-pattinson-is-edward-twilight-poster …that wild just got out of bed tossled hair of Edward in Twilight, maybe with a little side order of fangs?  Not that I want to change my hubby, cause he's a keeper…but I am just saying if they are going to attach something to his body don't you think his wife should have some say in the matter?  When he calls in the night before to see if he is required to go in, maybe he can ask…ha! Only kidding.

While I was stamping and cleaning my desk up, I came across another class card that I never finished from one of MAMMa's classes.  I think this is one from when my BFF Tracy was here,  I just had to assemble a bit, color my cupcake and stuff, so there was not tons to do.  I love it, and sniffle and weep a little at missing this DSP, but I will get over it. It is another of those famous Tri-Fold Shutter cards.

DSCN9072 copy Stamp Set: Party Hearty, Crazy for Cupcakes, Celebrate Everything (the big cupcake and greeting are retired)

Paper: Baja Breeze, Sweet Slumber DSP, Riding Hood Red, Watercolor paper, Sahara Sand

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Going Gray, Pumpkin Pie

Misc: Riding Hood satin ribbon,3/4" circle punch, Large star and star punch, silver brads

DSCN9074 copy I added a bit of white gel pen to the cupcake and around the celebrate word.  Gotta love that white gel pen.

So I had the TV on the other day and Mrs. Doubtfire was on, oh my, I forgot how much I loved that movie.  I love a funny movie that also makes me cry, I think we need to cry now and then ya know?  Flush out our systems, Re-boot…whatever!  Another movie I love is Mr. Holland's Opus, when they finally realize their son can not hear, it so makes me cry because of our son Eric and his disabilities, it is just one of those sad but feel good kinda movies,  and just so you don't think I only love movies with Mr. & Mrs. in the title, one of my favorite movies is Serendipity.  Oh and an oldie but a goodie Barefoot in the Park, which does not have Mr. or Mrs. in the title, but it is about a new Mr. & Mrs. and the beginning of their married lives, it is hilarious, and I could watch it every week, I loved Mildred Natwick, she played the Mum of Jane Fonda's character, and when she had to walk up all those flights of stairs…and the UPS guy too, oh my gosh I need to watch it again.  If you have never seen this movie, go rent it now…heck I think I bought it for $5.00 at Walmart, it is worth whatever you spend for it.  I want you to tell me YOUR favorite part. I love watching it with someone who has never seen it before cause then it is like I am experiencing it for the first time too.

OK, enough of my blabbery…I got a class at MAMMa's tonight, and I am so happy, I love to sit and be the student every now and then.

Have a great Saturday everyone, and thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

How do you keep your gel pens in good working order? I have no luck with mine. I'm going to rent that movie. 🙂 I also love Serendipity – love John Cusack. 🙂

I'm a big fan of your blog, Diana. This morning when I read it, you sparked my interest in the movie "Serendipity". Imagine the pleasant surprise I got when I turned the tv on and it was about to begin! I was meant to watch it and I loved it!

Oh, I love Mr. Holland's Opus – it is so touching and the music is amazing. I love your card and have to learn how to do that. I haven't seen Serendipity and must rent it.

A "body attachment" is in the nature of a warrant for an arrest. One for whom a body attachment has been issued is subject to being taken into the custody of law enforcement officers and delivered to court.

I don't know how, but I missed this post…You crack me up with your body attachment comments. I had no idea what it was either….although…maybe in Canada they don't give you an attachment they take some away..I could stand a little off the hips and tummy area please Mr. Judge!!! Serendipity is a great movie. John Cusack is awesome. He is a great actor. Remember him in Better Off Dead!!! I still haven't watched Barefoot in the Park even though I got it when you told me to get it and that other one with the girls ..sweetest something or other maybe..I can't remember the name!
    Luv ya

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
