Much better…

This 'n' That

1 Aug

…aint it?  I like this card much better, and it is just changed a little bit, but the main thing is the flower, those other ones were so sad.

DSCN8577 copy Stamp Set: Made 2 Last
Paper: Pixie Pink, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White, Glossy, Green Galore
Ink: Basic Black, Pixie Pink, Apricot Appeal
Misc: Rubber Cement, Organza ribbon, Finial press embossing folder, Playground buttons, alcohol, leaf die, black gingham ribbon, dimensionals, daisies 2 die

So today I finished the rest of the TLC Class 3 cards, that is marked off my to-do list as done – Yeah!!

DSCN8580 copy Here is what everyone will be doing at the Technique Lovers Club (TLC) Class August 22 and August 23, seating is limited so let me know if you want to attend.  I will show you the cards over the next 2 days closer up.

Make sure to sign up for my email newsletters by sending an email to: digibbs@stampingwithdi.com  then you won't miss any classes, or any specials (just a little hint – I will be running a special while I am at convention, so don't miss out, and start making that wish list)

Now I have to work on my Artisan swap, and challenge, and then my swaps for convention.

This weekend will be a busy one, I am gonna go do some shopping with my buddy Sharon Saturday, gotta get some new duds. I wish I had a new bod to go with the duds, but I'll just have to dress the old one up.

I am also happy to tell you that Dawn asked me to be part of UStamp with Dawn & Friends for the fall session! I am so tickled to be asked again, it has been so much fun.  How about this cute new banner?Dawn_rapsas_fall  Fun eh?  The Fall UStamp will start September 4th and end October 1.  So how would you like to win a FREE PASS?  That's right Dawn has given me a free pass to give away, so down below in the comment section, please answer this: What is your favorite technique? (This has nothing to do with UStamp necessarily, it just will help me plan my upcoming classes as well as my blog tutorials)  so make sure to answer below this post and I will pick a winner on Sunday August 2 at noon Arizona time.  Cool eh?

Have a great Saturday, and thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

It is hard to say because there are so many techniques that I like, I think all types of embossing are my favorite.

I don't know if you'd consider this a "technique" but I love to show die cuts or punches in a different way than it was intended… an out-of-the-box thing.

I would have to say embossing as well but if you're using this as what to show coming up…I would love to see more punch art. Thanks for the chance to win!

I have trouble choosing one technique, but I'd have to say that I love paper piecing using the designer series papers (I'm a bit addicted to them!).

I luv the flower in your pocket…this card is way too cute!

Right now my favorite technique is the "Smackin' Acetate technique"! StampTV has a video (by Gina K) for it. I used SU markers on my clear block.

    Hi Diana!
My favorite technique…hmmm…I guess it would have to be water coloring with ink refills. I don't have enough talent to paint a picture from the start but this makes me feel like I do! Thanks for the chance to win!

Congratulations on another U Stamp, how exciting. I would have to say that my favorite technique would be anything grungy…. crumbling, sanding, tearing, roughing up the edges, inking edges, etc. And then on another day it may be coloring – either watercolor with in, or with the colored pencils. Then another day it may be…. But my favorite would be grungy right now.

    Congrats!

A favorite technique is had to choose. I don't know if it is a technique, but I love, love, love using punches. I also like the soft look of watercoloring.

Diana, you have me forever in love with and completely hooked on using Sansodor! I find myself only interested in stamp sets that are open line for coloring and looking at sets with the thought, "Okay, so what could I do with this set and Sansodor?"! I have done a little bit of polished stone, so I am anxious to see how you use that in your technique class. Even more so how you use the rubber cement technique since the one time I "learned" the technique I honestly couldn't think of an application for using it. So wish I were going to convention, too. Can't wait to hear everyone's reports (even if I turn even more green with envy)!
    Hugs,
    Lorree

Yup – i like the one bigger flower. Although, i wonder if just adding some leaves would have helped your first card?

    either way, CUTE!
    Keep up the great work!
