Today was the first round of my Catalog Kick Off party, and this is one of the other cards that the girls made. I fell in love with the card that Spencer Willis did at Convention with the Extreme Elements set, and I just had to get it, and then MAMMa had some cute cards at her house with the Ronald McDonald House set, and I could not believe I had not ordered that yet…I usually get that right away, whatever was I thinking? So I combined the two cards and voila…neat-o!
Stamp Set: Extreme Elements, Very Thankful
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Dusty Durango
Ink: Bashful Blue, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Blush Blossom
Misc: Polka-Dotted Dusty Durango grosgrain
So I was tidying up last night before my party and putting stamp sets away that I have had stacked up in the "to be put away pile", and after I got them all put away I was like "where the heck did all these sets come from?" what do you think? Ha!
Does your stamp cupboard look like this?
So tonight we got together with some very dear friends and celebrated the life of another dear sweet soul that passed away July 26. If any of you were blessed to have Jeff Hayes a.k.a. Goob in your life, either as a friend, family member, or as a teacher, you were one lucky person.
Taken from us too soon, we shared laughter and tears remembering the good times we all had, and promising not to wait so long to get together again. Why does it take losing someone to make you realize how precious your friends are?
We took pics of everyone, and we had people bring pictures if they had them, and we are writing memories of Jeff in a book and adding the pictures, and we will give it to his Mum and Dad, it is so sad that they have lost both their sons in a years time. We want them to know that he was loved very much in Arizona.
Jeff loved the Three Stooges, and in fact when he used to brew his own beer he even had The Three Stooges on his label. So we found some Three Stooges t-shirts online and ordered them and wore them tonight, I know he was smiling and lighting up his cigar with Chico Chism, and his brother David, and our old friend John Hollenbeck, and laughing and perhaps crying right along with us.
We will forever miss you and will see you again some day, we love you Goob!
Have a blessed Sunday, hug your family and friends, and thanks for stopping in!
Di, I am so sorry about your friend passing away, may he live forever in the hearts of all that knew him.
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend – and I love the way you celebrated him! Your RMH card is darling and you look great in your shirt!
