When I was in the store looking for some things to use for my first Artisan Award challenge, I came across this cute little shadow box frame. It fits like a wallet size photo, and I thought how fun would that be to do something with it. It did not follow the theme that I was doing for my challenge, so I just set it aside for something else. After I got all my stamping done today to send to Stampin' Up! I thought I would see if the Adirondack (yeah the spell checker did not correct me) chair would fit. So I stamped it on watercolor paper, colored it up and cut it out. I used dimensionals to pop it up on some textured white paper. I really like it but want to use different colored textured paper, but not sure what yet.
Stamp Set: Peace Within
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Creamy Carmel, Going Gray, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Mustard
Paper: Whisper White Textured, watercolor paper
Misc: Rub-ons Chit Chat, dimensionals, little shadow box frame, aqua painter
So as I was taking the picture I kept getting a glare on the glass, I tried moving the lamp, I tried standing different, cause sometimes you could see me reflect in the glass, so at least sitting it on the black cardstock helped.
Here you can kinda see the shadow box look to it.
I do think that putting a different paper behind the chair will be cooler looking, and I will play with it some more, and show you what I do.
As I was trying to take the glass out cause I thought if I just took a picture without the glass I would not have the glare, I cracked the little black frame, so I have to go get another one.
So I just left it as is, glare and all.
I really do like how it turned out, and the cat sure does not get lost on the chair here does he?
I also did my swap card using the same set, and I will show you that card tomorrow, don't ya love it when I tease?

Love it! What a great use of this set 🙂
No, the kitty cat did not get lost in the chair. The coloring is just perfect! I love the little shadow box idea. Great job 🙂

It's beautiful! I was thinking it would be kind of cool to put something sticky on the background piece and then throw some real sand on it to make it look like it's sitting on the beach or something. Real sand mixed with some dazzling diamonds glitter. Ooooh.
BTW, everyone is loving the cards I did at your technique class and I have another friend that wants to join me next time. 🙂
I love it!!
Way tooooo sweet ! ! How about stamping the grass from the "Inspired by Nature", on the white background ? I love that set tooo.
You really are the best.

OMGosh Di this project ia absolutely perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. So peaceful I just want to walk right into the frame and join the kitty in the chair. Though I guess disturbing the cute cat might lessen the whole peace vibe huh 😀
With the white background you can imagine any setting you want. I also like the simplicity of the plant without the flower part added in. Sigh….back to the real world now….
