Big Hugs All Around…

3-D Items

13 Jun

…Thank you all so much for your comments and emails about the Artisan Award.  I am still pinching myself, and excited for the new SU! year, I can hardly wait to see what is in store for all of us. As for the projects I sent in, I will post them on my blog after Convention. That is where they will be displayed, and I can't show them before then.  I also had a diorama in the Stampin' Success Online extras that is out, in a separate article, and I will holler at my SAM to see if I can post it here for you to see, I am sure I can, I have more views then what was posted online.

I also was checking my blog stats, and holy moly, I am at almost 500K hits, now I suck at math, but I think that is half a million right? Geesh Louise, that's a lotta hits eh?  Thank you!

So when my BFF Tracy was here we had one day where we shopped all day, and we had to go to Ulta (Tracy hinted a little bit about this trip in a comment).  Tracy was looking at face powder, and also wanted to find some hair spray.  I love her, she is the fancy one, (I tease her that she is an East Coast girl, cause she always looks so nice – not that other coast girls don't…no yelling at me!!!) I kinda blow my hair with the dryer, and hope it lands in the right spot, I sometimes, not very often spray with hairspray.  Tracy's hair always looks perfect, and whispy fly away-ish.  So anyway, as we were in the store, the sales girl asked if we needed help and Tracy said she was looking for a particular hair spray.  The girl showed us a few things, and then she walked us over to this one in particular and commented how great a hold it was, but not a workable hairspray, so once you had your hair the way you wanted it, then spray it.  As she was touching her hair and pretending to use the spray, she said (or at least what my deaf ears heard) "it holds very well, but its not like semen", and I went huh?  so I asked her "did you just say semen?", and she said  "no I said cement"…she said her hubby says she pronounces words weird, and I said "yeah cause the word is cement, not seament!!"  I did not hear the "t", and to this day I would swear she did not say the "t", so I said remember that movie "Something about Mary" and the whole faux hair jel, and we all got a chuckle about it, I mean I couldn't let this stranger, who I will probably never see again in my life, (and if I do, I hope I see her first, so I can duck behind something or someone) think I am nuts.  Gee, maybe I should have told that story after I got the million hits…ha!!!

Let's change the topic really quick…another gift I got from Tracy, was this awesome card, and the Pewter in the middle is actually a magnet.

DSCN8276 copy Love it, don't you?

Another thing she made was this cute little "beverage" holder.  When she first came we were going down the wine aisle, and they had margarita mix stuff in a bottle, I mean it was already mixed, you just had to add ice, so we got a bottle.  Tracy makes these awesome toasted almonds, and I said I could get the ingredients for that, and she said just wait.

This is why, cause she gave me these little bottles.  Of course, we didn't even open them…we are all talk eh?

DSCN8275 copy Isn't this cute? These little bottles are adorable in this cute little box that Tracy made.

Her cute daughter Jessica (hey pretend daughter, thanks for letting me have Mummy for a week), printed out the saying for the box on the computer.

Tracy made one for MAMMa too.  Marlene drinks different things then me, so hers was a little different.

DSCN8278 copy While we were at MAMMa's, Tracy and I stamped some awesome make n takes from Marlene's upcoming class, see how cute Tracy looks in her scarf?  That East Coast girl…I was freezing and had to borrow a sweater from Marlene.  I will post what we made after I ask Marlene when the class is, as I don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone going to the class.

Well I am gonna sign off for now, I have my TLC class in the morning and have some last minute setting up to do, plus I want to watch 20/20 and see Adam Lambert, I hope he sings.

Have a great Saturday, we are having unseasonably cool weather, and I am loving it.

Thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

That box from Tracy is the best. I am going to have to copy it for a friend that we always joke about having a bottle in the bottom desk drawer and he is having his 50th next week so this is perfect timing. Congrats on getting in SS too, you see, Dawn knew what she was doing choosing you for UStamp and we are the lucky ones.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
