Ya Gotta Have Friends…

This 'n' That

10 May

…and I got some of the best….first another awesome card from my friend Ellie…thank goodness I didn't show you em both yesterday, or I would be taking a picture of my purchases from today, cause I was gone all……..dayyyyyyy long……..more of that later.

Another Flapperlicious Card from Ellie Wilkins

DSCN7881 copy Stamp Set: If I am not mistaken it was called Haute Couture, and was a Hostess set a few years ago, I loved it, and also I loved saying it, I felt so bilingual at workshops when I used it. It was funny to hear people say it though. "I like that Hottie Cooter set"

Paper: Basic Black, So Saffron, and not sure about the background paper, or the ribbon.

Ink:  Basic Black

Misc: half back pearls

Ellie, I really must insist you start sending me the recipe for your masterpieces from now on…ha! Just kidding…I love this card…classy!

So the other day when I went to Office Max and they have all the store on sale for 25% off, I saw that they had prismacolor pencils…well I could not pass them up since they were a smokin' deal and I have seen such beautiful coloring with them, and ya'll know I love to color.  Vicki (hey chicka…can I have my crispy crunch chocolate bar back?) used them at Victopia, and she was using a blending stump and some mineral spirits or whatever. So today was the day of:

1.) going to Micheals to get me some stumps and the solvant

2.) getting the rest of my downline gifts for convention

3.) going to Ross to look for a purse

So, Sharon and I planned the day…well not so much planned……..we did plan that she would get here around 10am (she was a tad bit late…she is finishing up some schooling and stayed up late working on stuff), so she got here and we left shortly after.  We hit the Ross by me, and hmmmm…..I found me a cheap cute black purse…yep another black one…you all know me and black purses?  In fact after the 3rd Ross where I bought a black trimmed, but its a giraffe print one, Sharon was like "I am so gonna enjoy buying that purse off you when you dont use it" she knows me and my black purse fetish.  But you just wait…at convention I am gonna be so stylin' with my giraffe bag…you just wait.  So anyway, then we went to a TJ Maxx, no purses we wanted there, (well there was one I wanted…too much money and it was a blue/white/greenish checkered like bag, and Sharon was like "nope it aint black, you wont use it") then we went to another Ross, and then a Micheals, the things I am getting for gifts, I could not get them all at one Micheals. I did get my stumps and solvent though and messed around a bit with that tonight once we got back…very cool.  So after 3 more Ross' and about 3 more Michaels I got all my gifts…whew! lucky, they aint getting anymore in the girl said at the store.  We even ended up back at the first Ross to see if we could find another purse like I got, I looked so dang snazzy with it all day, Sharon wants one too…let me tell you we are nuts for purses, she gets one and I want it and will look forever, I get one and she wants it and we do the same.  I love her…thanks for a fun fun day Sharon.

Now I did not do good on my diet cause we ate at Red Lobster, I did have salad but there was croutons, I only ate a couple, I had clam chowder and it was in a bread bowl, and I only ate a bit of the bowl, I ripped the side off and ate it, just so they did not re-use it…ha!!.I know they don't I just said that cause I was being an arse…so that was not good for the ol diet, but once in a while is ok right? right?

050909_1932[00] copy On the way into town this morning, when we drove by the Pork Shop (OMG! you have to go there and get their BBQ ribs…ya best call ahead they dont always have em) tell Jason I said hi…anyway, we noticed this… it seems their mascot must be a bit under the weather.  Sorry the picture is a little dark, it was turning dusk by the time us crazy gals were headed home.

Well this old gal is headed to bed, and I am turning OFF the alarm, and let myself wake up when I want to tomorrow, after all it is Mother's Day after all (I say with a sheepish grin after I was gone all day today shopping).

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. To my Mum, my Mother in Law, and MAMMa, HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!!!!  I love you all.

Thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

My dearly beloved say it "Looks like their mascot is getting ready for the a-pork-alypse, protecting herself from "hamthrax!"

Yes he finds your blog just as amusing as I do!

Love the "hottie cooter" card – he chuckled over that too. We being canadians and all too!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
