RAK with a twist…

This 'n' That

9 May

So Ellie has sent me a few more cards, aint she the best? I will share one with you today.  It makes me pucker when I look at it.   It is so cute, the ribbon, and the greeting is cute too…where is that from Ellie?  I like how the font has printing and then writing too.

I won't do a recipe, as I am not sure what she used…probably tequila and margarita mix, with a twist of lime…ha!

Mouthwatering card by Ellie Wilkins

DSCN7878 copy Look how cute that ribbon is!

I am sure this is Gable Green and Green Galore and the ribbon looks awesome with it.

Plus did you see?  Did you look close? Well not that close, you're getting nose smudges on the monitor…back up just a bit…remember what your Mum said when you were watching tv…"sit back, you'll ruin your eyes"

DSCN7879 copy Look at that…she even salted (actually its glitter) the rim…the best part of a margarita..well maybe not the best but it sure makes it better, makes you more thirsty so you need another three.

I remember one of the Stampin' Up! cruises was to the Mexican Riviera and I took my sister Jax and my BFF Tracy took her friend Mary.  Our hubby's didnt want to go…shucks, we made the best of it without them…ha!

Anyway the margaritas were so good on that trip, and I think ever since then on the same cruise line, they sucked.  They were so bitter. I mean how do you mess up a margarita? I mean heck I can even make one…well I have to look at a recipe…but it is not bitter.

So I think I mentioned yesterday about having problems with my cable modem and the a/c blah!blah!blah!, well today I could not use the internet at all when the a/c was running, as it would get hung up or the modem would just blink and not fully re-boot. Dont you love that word? Re-boot.  I am gonna look it up and see if it is even in the dictionary…it is not, at least not the one I have, it goes from re-book, then re-bore.  Wonder what other words we use daily now that are not in the dictionary?   Ok, so back to what I was saying.  So I called one of my friends and downline Jenny (Hi! Waving and blowing kisses) and she talked to her hubby who is an electrician and he had us check to see what was on the same circuit etc. Come to find out (now that is seems obvious) there are 2 circuits in my studio ( I figured one) and the a/c and the computer were on the same one.  So we just plugged the a/c into a different plug and I do believe it is fixed. Just seems weird that it started last summer, and it did not do it from the get-go.  Mark, you are my hero. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! Mwah!!!! So now I dont have to sit in the heat when I am on the computer…perhaps I was getting more done when I was not on here so much today, but this makes me so happy, cause we really could not afford to replace the unit, and I just dreaded if we had to do any electrical wiring stuff.  So all is good!

Well I got me a date in the am with my buddy Sharon, so I am hitting the hay.

Have the best Saturday ever, and thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

Could the sentiment be from Amuse?

    Well sister dear….
    re·boot (rē-bōōt')
    tr.v. re·boot·ed, re·boot·ing, re·boots
To turn (a computer or operating system) off and then on again; restart.
    straight from dictionary.com
None of my dictionaries have it in them either…..but apparently they have updated one of the dictionaries, not sure if it is the Websters one or not, with words such as lol and Google!!! It's funny how over the years the things we say and do change….like look at television..it used to all be "stories" in an hour…now it's all reality (crap) tv!!!
I love the card….even though Margartia's are too bitter for me all the time!!! Now pour me a Caramel Apple Martini and that's a different story, I can drink those babies, by the shaker!!!!!
    Love ya
    Jax

    Hi Diana!!
Jacqui is correct. Both the glass and sentiment are from A Muse Rubber Stamps. You are too kind!! Thanks for the praise.

Okay…I was reading the posts wrong- t. phillips was correct!! Sorry. And Diana you were correct on the colors–Gable Green and Green Galore. Ribbon is from Michael's–basic basic line.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
