This 'n' That

7 Apr

So I wanted to try this out…I was not tagged personally, but wanted to tag a few friends, it seems like a good idea…till I saw the 6th pic in my 6th folder…ha! What a hoot, or should I say bootie….ha! Not really…but it is funny, at least it was me, and not someone else.

Here is the picture:DSC00288  a few years ago I got these camo pants, and Jeff loves them, what is it about men wanting their wives to go hunting with them, and I told him the camo pants were as close as that ever happening, I mean he would not want me going, I would be like "Run Bambi Run!!"…of course my butt was smaller a few years ago, I mean I can still wear them, but I have a little bit of overhang now…blech!  I really need to put down the Pralines, and get on the treadmill…I think I took this picture for my BFF Tracy, cause I can't remember why I was pointing to my butt…who knows…the mind is the first thing to go…after the butt….

So here are the rules:

•Open your photo folder on your computer
•Open the 6th folder of photos
•Select the 6th picture
•Post the picture on your blog with a description
•Invite six friends to join the challenge
•Link your six friends to your blog post

So who do I link to without feelings getting hurt, so I am gonna be a rebel…and I am gonna say all my PCP DT girls have to do this…so I doubled it, you know double your pleasure, double your fun…yeah whatever…I just want to see what they come up with.

Added:  Debbie sent me an email…she wants to join in the fun too…the more the merrier I say!!

So tonight I finally was able to go to my girlfriend and upline Rhonda's meeting, it seems like the last few months I have been busy and not able to go.  So I had all my Hawaii stuff to share/brag about.  So I hollered at MAMMa and said "are you going to Rhonda's? Wanna carpool?" and she said YES!!! So yeah off we went tonight.  I was trying to finish my last make n take from Hawaii but it involves math and well you know how much I love math…ugh!  I could not figure it out.  So I worked on my swap instead, and tonight I left Rhonda the pieces to figure out, she is the Rain Man when it comes to things like that.  I measure in DITS…ha!  So here is my card I swapped.

DSCN7625 copy Stamp Sets: Thoughts and Prayers, Good Friend (from the new Mini Catalog) and hey did you know that if you order $40.00 out of the mini catalog you get a stamp for free off of page 208 in the catalog – what a deal eh?)

Paper: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Hand Drawn DSP (Level 3 – Hostess paper)

Ink: Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray

Misc: Basic Gray Tafetta, Sponge Daubers (for adding red to the flowers)

TIP:  Stamp the whole image in the Old Olive pad, using a qtip remove the old olive ink from the flowers, using a sponge dauber apply the Riding Hood Red Ink to the flowers. Then stamp, Voila! you got two colors.  I did this at a class a while ago, but we first stamped the image in Sahara Sand, and then the flowers were in Baja Breeze, the Sahara Sand was so light, we did not have to remove the ink first…but with these two colors, you had to since it looked horrible if you didnt.

I hope you liked the card, I really enjoyed seeing all my fellow Demonstrators tonight, we always have such a great time.

Have a super Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

this is lovely…a quick tip for you that I learned at a stamping event…use your blender pen to remove the ink from the flowers…and you can multi task if you have another image you want to colour with what you just removed from the original…works like a charm…

    Hi Di,

I thought camoflage was supposed to make butts of any size invisible? You'd think guys might find that a turn off instead of a turn on wouldn't you think? After all if they can't see it…….

Next question – Do you eat Bambi?

    Hugs – Jean

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
