Got Guts?

This 'n' That

17 Apr

Card guts I mean?   I usually always have some laying around, I even package them up and put them in the door prize basket, and they are first to be picked.  "Card guts – yeah!" my stampers yell when they see 'em, oh my gosh and the "bag 'o bows" that goes fast too. What is funny when Rhonda and I do a group event and there are other Demonstrators and their customers, and one of my customers say card guts, and the look other people give, cause well it does sound kinda gross…but it makes sense…right?

What are card guts?  When I cut for a class, I usually cut a few extra just in case of last minute attendees or boo-boos, so I will have extra card supplies or "guts".  So I just keep them with their envelope and when I need to do some quick cards, I use em up, if I don't package them up as door prizes.  I will sometimes change the DSP or something, but sometimes it is just the same card, different set.  You may have even noticed it at times I will have a card using the same paper and even the same layout as one I have posted before.  Nothing wrong with that at all.  I love it, it's like doing a sketch, I already got the guts, the papers are cut, grab a set, some embellishments and voila'  your card is done…kind of like a no-brainer, and some daze that's me…

So this card is using card guts from the Branch Out card from my Pink Flamingo class that I taught at the Prescott Pines weekend, and also the class I am teaching Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I just tweaked it a tad, but it was a super fast card to put together.

DSCN7734 copy Stamp Set: Echoes of Kindness – this is a Hostess set – free when your workshop/book party/or personal order reaches $300.00, Great Friend – this is a set from the mini catalog.  If you order $40.00 until April 30, from the mini you get a free stamp off of page 208 in the main catalog (the under $10.00 page)

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Cameo Coral, Whisper White, Pink Flamingo DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss, Going Gray

Misc: Sewing machine, black gingham, ribbon slide

They say it's gonna be another cold night in Arizona, it feels good, I mean ya have to wear a coat, but I like that it is staying cooler, it gets hot as blazes fast enough.

Have a great Friday, and I hope that if you live in the snow country, spring is springing…I know I saw my first lizard today so that's a sign that it's warming up.

Thanks for stopping in!

A digibbs siggy

You did a great job with your sewing–straight lines and everything. LOL This is a very pretty card. Great job as always.

Funny! I was thinking that you were going to say scraps of paper, ribbon etc.
That is what I consider "guts". I keep all the slivers of ribbon, paper etc to use on something else!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
