You Gotta Have Friends...

...and that's what Stampin' Up! is all about...lifelong friendships that formed because of Stampin' Up! I know you have heard me talk about it before, but it's true...

I will have more friend pics to share as more come in, I am the worst person for taking pics...with me in them..ha! So as people send me pictures I will share them...unless I look like a horse's bleep - ha!

Here are a few quick ones to show you, as I have to get off here and get some stamping done...

2646_1129157547073_1171236925_384226_6947728_n Here is Dawn, Me and Terri - It was so funny, I have known Dawn for years, we are sidelines - we are both INKredible girls.  A few years ago I met Terri when we were having passport issues and she said call your senator, and it worked, we got Jeff's passport just in time, I think it was the day before we left.

Terri and I kept saying we would hang out together if our passports never arrived.  Then I found out that Dawn and Terri knew each other!

DSCN7451 copy Here is Lynn and I - we are also sidelines, cause Lynn is an INKredible girl too - nice shirts eh? Ha!

These were the SU! shirts we could order, and then we picked them up there.

DSCN7298 copy Here is my good friend Patsy Waggoner, we met years ago on the Alaska cruise, she has the same last name of a friend of mine in Arizona, Lucy who used to be a Demonstrator, and somehow they think their hubby's are related down the family tree aways, so when I saw her name tag while we were in line for make n takes, I was like "Patsy" and she was like "Hi" and then I had to explain who I was, and I invited her to sit with us for make n takes, and we have been friends ever since, and I feel bad cause we kinda ditched Patsy and her hubby without knowing we ditched them to go to Kona to shop, we thought they went on the bus that just left so we left on the next bus thinking we would see them, and well they had not.  Oops!

DSCN7344 copy Here is Jeff and my BFF Tracy, well she is on the phone, but she was there just the same.

DSCN7434 copy Here is Jeff and I standing by one of the waterfalls along the sidewalk at the resort.  As we were walking Jeff says go stand in there and I will take your picture, and I was like ummm..am I supossed to be in here, so then I hear "hey" and I thought oh oh I was gonna get in trouble and then I saw who it was it was the President of Stampin' Up! Dale, and he told Jeff to get in there with me and he would take our pictures.  He took a couple.  Jeff thought that was pretty cool, he did not know who Dale was at first and then I was like it's the President...funny eh?

Ok, I am off to stamp...have a great Tuesday, remember today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration, and also the last day to save on the Demonstrator starter kit. Holler if you have any questions.

Quarter Trick

When Jeff was younger he learned how to make a quarter disappear from reading the instructions on the back of a comic  book. To this day he still does it and kids love it.  My dear friend Terri Mongeon (hey sweetie) who is probably as we speak on a plane coming home from Hawaii, Jeff did it for her son while we were waiting for the bus to bring us back from Kona.

I remember when Eric was born I wanted to stay home with him so I put an ad in the paper so I could do daycare in our home.  One couple that answered my ad were Teri (hey girlfriend, are you all rested up from Hawaii?) and Julio, and they had little Victor, he was a couple weeks younger then Eric, I can still see them to this day sitting on the couch while they talked to us about looking after Victor and I can still see Teri that first day leaving her brand new first born at my house while she went to work with tears in her eyes, and me telling her to call anytime during the day to check on him.  James came along about 3 years later (me and my math, I hope I am right) anyway they are all grown up now. Too funny, people think Teri and I went to school together cause we have known each other so long, and I always say I put an ad in the paper for a friend, and she answered it.

DSCN7264 copy Here is Teri (flowered shirt) and her BFF Shellie (green shirt), they left their hubby's and kids home. These two HAVE known each other since school.

Ok, so back to the quarter trick, when the boys were little Jeff would do the quarter trick for them, and we had a little yorkie called Sherwood, and Jeff one time made it look like the quarter came from the dog's butt, so then when he would say where's the quarter, Victor would say "the dog's butt" it was so cute. I have a video of Victor reading a story, and he could not read yet, but he just remembered certain words and he repeated them and repeated them as plain as could be. I love watching those old tapes.

So while we were on the trip my BFF Tracy said that her hubby Steve said that Jeff had to have a Guiness on him, cause last years trip they both had Guiness mustaches, so while we were in Kona Jeff picked up a bottle of Guiness, we also picked up sandwiches, and chips, and Teri and Shellie had their munchies and we were gonna sit by the pool and eat.  So then Jeff realized that the beer bottle was not a twist top and he needed a bottle opener so he took off and was gone forever, so we figured he had walked to the bar or something to get it opened, so he finally shows up, and his fingers are wrapped in tissue, he had to change his shirt cause he had gotten blood on it and he was a mess, and it seems like he used his magic quarter to open up the beer bottle and the top cut his two fingers up, so we teased that we were gonna wrap mini pads on his fingers, but Shellie had bandaids, and he was good to go.  So the quarter trick is not so fun on beer bottles.

Speaking of butts...I mean I did say butts right?

DSCN7327 copy Look at this fun water thing, the water goes in the fish mouth and out its butt end down the drain pipe thing.  I love stuff like this. I mean this is the kinda stuff Jeff loves to make.

I also wanted to share the awesome bags we got this year from Stampin' Up!

We usually get pillow gifts from Shelli, and we usually get a bag each year, one year it was a beach bag with towels in it. We got an awesome wickery basket one year with one of the mats you lay on the beach in it.

This year I think was my favorite bag so far, I screamed when I saw it.

DSCN7342 copy This was mine, and it matched the wallet we got with our plane tickets in, I had a baby shower to go to today, and I took it with me cause I had not unpacked it and my purse and all that was still in it.

DSCN7341 copy Here is Jeff's bag, cool huh? I love when the guys get something, they usually do.  This year there was no spouses stamping or get together, Jeff was fine with it, I mean he didn't have his Steve to go to it with anyway, although he met some guys he gabbed with this year. One was Thurman, Kathryn's husband, they are a riot!

DSCN7324 copy Here is Jeff under a tree, and I am thinking it was a banyan tree, I was comparing it to the dreadlocky fishy wormy things on the one character in Pirates of the Carribean, remember him? Doesn't Jeff look little? I mean look at the dang rocks? He's like a Hobbit.

Well that is all the Hawaii pictures for tonight, I gotta hit the hay, I have club deliveries tomorrow, and the grocery store to go to, and I still have a few girls to contact for orders from my special.  If I have not hollered at you yet, I will today, I didnt want to call you too late, with the time difference.

Today is my little sister Courtney's birthday!  Happy Birthday Sis!  I love you! I hope Jason takes you out and treats you all special and stuff.

Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping in!

Hey Mac...

...adamia nut?  Holy Moly... I think I am nuttier then ever after getting back from Hawaii...could it be from eating macadamia nuts all the time...I mean I think I even had macadamia nut covered macadamia nuts. Ha!  They are good, and we did bring some home, I should probably check the fat content, although I think I lost weight on this trip.  Usually the Stampin' Up! incentive trips are cruises, and anyone that has been on a cruise before know you basically eat all the time...ya get bored...let's go eat...ya wanna go visit with a friend...let's do it up on the lido deck and eat ice cream. Hawaii was different, we were given $X.00 from Stampin' Up! as a perdiem that would cover breakfast, lunch and dinner.  It worked for us as we just shared food, and we didnt go to expensive restaurants. (only one night we did) and also there was a great market down from the resort and you could get sandwiches and everything, plus Stampin' Up! had a great welcome buffet for us the first night, another buffet breakfast for us the first morning, and a beautiful luau dinner the last night, so we just had to feed ourselves the rest of the time.  We totally did not starve, and we walked so much.  The resort was called Hilton Waikoloa Village and just looking back at the website and my photos puts a smile on my face.  When we got there on the shuttle the lady said that they fondly call it Hilton Walk-alotta, but after a day I called it Hilton Out-a-Shape-a, cause this old woman had a few aches.

Stampin' Up! provided buses to Kona one day for shopping, where we promptly found the drug store (I dont know how many miles it was) as I left my hearing aid batteries on the counter at home...oops! We also bought our souveniers to get that done. They also provided us with buses to the beach the next day, and that was so nice of them.  The rest of the time we did nothing, we just vacationed, enjoyed ourselves and relaxed. We did not plan any excursions or anything.  The resort is on the ocean, but not where you had access to a beach, they had a great lagoon where we snorkled and took some under water pics, and there were tons of pools too.

The day we went to the beach we actually came across some sea turtles, and I am hoping those pictures turn out, as soon as we get them developed I will scan them in.

Here are a few pics from our trip, I don't have any stamping make n takes to share with you, I need to check rules on if I can show you or not.  We saw some fun new things at our morning session but Stampin' Up! does not want us spoiling the fun for anyone and telling up-coming things so till I find out, I won't post that, but I am not sure about the actual make n takes and stamp set we got if I can share that.

DSCN7265 copy Here we are after we got lei'd before we got on the shuttle to the resort.

When we got off the plane we assumed we would get leid right away, and we were like "where's our lei? where's our lei?"

But we got it right before we got on the shuttle.

DSCN7268 copy Here is our room, well half of it, the other side had a desk and a tv, and then we had a big closet and bathroom.

These rooms were much bigger then the cruise ship cabins we have had in the past, we had a balcony and our room was an ocean view room.

Our bed was a king and I see the Gibbs' household getting one in the future, we had one many years ago when we were first married and then we changed to a queen about 15 years ago..now that our bodies have gotten broader I think the bed should too...ha!

DSCN7271 copy Here is the view off our balcony, nice huh? You can see the lava stuff, it is hard like rock or Jeff was comparing it to metal.

From a distance, it looked almost like turned soil like a tractor did it, but it is hard hard hard.

DSCN7276 copy Here is the sun setting our first night.  Stampin' Up! had a get together the first night with horse derves and drinks so we got to catch up with old friends we don't see but a few times a year, it was so peaceful and we got to visit briefly with Jerry Day and his wife when they came by our table, he used to be the President of Stampin' Up! and it is always nice to see him. He is a good hugger. They have kids in the Queen Creek area and the Gilbert area so we kidded for him to stop by when they are in town.

Shelli stopped by too and we got to give her a hug and thank her for the trip.

DSCN7278 copy Here is where my BFF Tracy and her hubby Steve would have been sitting if they were there.

Next year right Tracy?

Well I am hitting the hay, I have lots to do tomorrow, a baby shower, some stamping, definitely laundry, cleaning, perhaps a nap thrown in.

I want to thank everyone that has emailed me orders for the No Tax, No Shipping special. Today is the last day for that, so holler if you are still interested.  I will be contacting everyone to complete your orders.

Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping in!
