…so put another dime in the jukebox baby"… although now I think its more than a dime.
I do love Rock and Roll BUT it has to be the old stuff, you know like Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Styx, Journey, Bryan Adams, all that old stuff (from the 80's) that the songs were good and made sense. I pretty much listen to Country and Western now, how odd that growing up I hated it, I mean that is what my parents listened to, ugh, now that's me, and what do I love the best, OLD country music. It's nuts, we grow up saying we aren't going to be like our parents when we grow up and then…yep, there we are, doing what we said we would never do. Ha!
Well this is a fun new set from Hanna Stamps! and I picked her right away. A week or so ago I won a set from Flourishes, and I got a couple pads of 6×6 paper at the same time, cause I knew I had my rocker to color and this paper is perfect.
This set will be available on Monday night, so make sure to head on over to the forum at Splitcoaststampers at 9pm ET…lots of fun and prizes too!
So this is Hanna and she is practicing in her basement, try-outs are coming up and she wants to be in the band. Her brothers friends came over and were playing darts before hand, but once she plugged her geetar in and strapped on those high heeled boots, the boys put the darts down and rocked out with her cheering her on, cause she sure can tickle the ivorys, or is it tickle the cat gut?
Isn't she cute? I love making her hair all different colors, wait till you see the other cards I did..ha!
The dartboard comes from a different set called Mikey, just so you know.
Stamp Set: Rockstar Hanna, Mikey
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Gina K Luxury, Glitterati background paper
Ink: Going Gray, Baja Breeze, Memento Tuxedo, Copic Markers
Misc: Spica Glitter Markers, white gel pen, basic gray taffeta dyed with the black copic marker, sewing machine, art pen for drawing paneling on wall
All I did was take an art pen and drew the baseboard, and then the waiscotting and then I drew lines up and down to make it look like panelling, then I just colored with my copics…easy eh?
So tonight we watched the movie "The Bucket List", it was such a good movie, it did not end like I thought it would, and we both cried, you gotta love a movie like that. I don't care what anyone says it feels good to cry once in a while…it also feels good to laugh…and this commercial makes me laugh all the time…maybe cause we have a neighbor named Jimmy, I don't know…but it is so stupid and funny at the same time…
Have a great Sunday, and don't forget to think with your dipstick Jimmy!
Thanks for stopping in!
Hugs, Di
March 1st…glad I live in a different time zone where it is still February. I have an hour to try and complete part of my Feb to do list. And where am I? Visiting you and smiling about country music which I've grown to like and limes in coconuts–I smashed my mothers ceramic lazy susan trying to hammer into one–and oops, better go to do something before my time is up. Have a great March! Mary Jo
That is a kind of funny commercial! Are these on your networks out there or are you just finding them on You Tube?? This post is eerie….I was working on writing up my post last night..and I was writing about country music and watching my friend play..I couldn't figure out the video part yet so I didn't want to post it until I do…but how eerie that we were both gonna put up a post about music…..I love the Hanna…her hair rocks…and the paneling in the basement…looks awesome! I am sooooooo getting this set!!! I too ordered a bunch of "rocker paper" from somewhere and I can't wait to use it!
You continue to inspire me every day – I love you,
Jax
