Did you hear?

This 'n' That

17 Feb

Well I know by cracky this mouse heard it, look at those ears? Isn't he cute? Carrying those balloons, taking them over to his friends house, they have been feeling kinda ucky, it's the cold and flu season you know, and lots of germs have been going around…so this is my 14th day locked in the house…ok just kidding.  I have been busy at home, but I do go out from time to time.

DSCN7053 copy Digital Stamp: Birthday Balloons

Rubber Stamp: Itty Bitty Backgrounds, A True Friend

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Urban Garden DSP, Georgia Pacific

Ink: Copic markers, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Memento Black, white craft ink

Misc: Sewing machine, corduroy buttons, word window punch, sponges, scallop circle punch for cloud stencil, textured plate

TIP: If you punch the scallop circle punch use it as a stencil to make the image of a cloud. First sponge your sky lightly all over. Then using the scallop punch, lay it on your paper, and sponge ink on the edges brushing the ink out, and this will leave the scallop shape and they look like clouds…you can see this in the sky…neat-o!

PCP-Sketch4 I used the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps sketch that is over at Paper Craft Planet. I lovvve sketches!

You should try it out, this one was fun with all the different layers and the embellishments.

It is kinda like a puzzle really once you get going.

It is totally just for inspiration, see the little dots on the top corner? That could be anything..brads, buttons, eyelets, gee you could even put two staples, whatever you find laying around on your stamp table…ha!

DSCN7058 copy  TIP:  I used the textured plate on the Baja  Breeze cardstock, and to make it stand out more, I brushed it lightly with white craft ink using a sponge, after I textured it.

Anyway back to the cute mouse, this is one of the new Digital Stamps by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, what you do is you order the digital image, you download it and then you have it to use whenever you want. Cool huh?

You can resize and even mirror images with your photo editing software.

The digital stamps will in no way replace their clear stamps, but they are a fun addition to the great stamps they already offer!

Digital images are great for Copic users! When using Copics with printed images, you must either heat set or allow for a short drying time, then color to your hearts content. Please test an area first before coloring, if you are not sure, print something, it can be anything, wait a bit or heat set, and then color, did it run? If not you are good to go.
I did a tutorial on using watercolor paper and your printer, here is a quick link to find it

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has more fun Digi stamps coming soon, so keep checking back, oh and how do I know this you ask? Well thanks for asking…

Korin, she owns Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, has asked me to be part of their new Digi Design Team (I'm pretending that Digi stands for Diana Gibbs – ha! it don't take much does it?) and I had so much fun being a guest designer for her in January, I did not hesitate and said I sure will. She is such a sweetie, and this is a fun new way to stamp.

Have a great Tuesday, I'll be a paper cuttin' fiend for my workshop on Wednesday. Can you say 30 ladies ready for a fun stamping time?

Oh and I hear the Sex and the City theme music, that means…I need to get to bed, it's late!

Thanks for stopping in.

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
