Say it Aint So…

This 'n' That

6 Jan

…no more Hawaii Papaya Designer Series Paper? What are you kidding me? Yep it's that time of year again folks to say bye to a bunch of accessories from the Stampin' Up! catalog, but smile…that means we are getting new stuff! Can you see me dancing?  Sad and exciting at the same time….

At the bottom of my post is the retiring accessory list and I will update it once a day so you know what is no longer available.  If you want something make sure to order it right away. As you can see there are already some items gone.

Well first I will show you a fun fun card I did for the Hanna Stamps! release week, and it is using…gulp…Hawaii Papaya paper.

I love my garden trellis full Stamp Set: I Love My Garden, Bookworm, Garden, Itty Bitty Backgrounds

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Watercolor Paper, Hawaii Papaya DSP

Ink: Palette Hybrid Noir, Baja Breeze, Creamy Caramel, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Rose Red, More Mustard, Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom

Misc: white gel pen, scallop circle punch for the cloud stencil shape.

I had so much fun making this card, I totally love making scenes…can ya tell?  The cards take a little while cause usually there is a lot of cutting out to do, but hey it's cheap therapy…right?

I love my garden Hanna upclose Here I used my black artist pen and made a little spill of dirt to cut out and put by the pot.

I wanted it to look like Hanna is checking out her garden book to see what to plant when and where, so I used a book from the Bookworm set.

There is a new Backyard Dwellers set, and I was gonna add some bugs, and then I didn't cause I already had so much going on, plus she looked so relaxed, I didn't think she would be so happy if a big old mosquito was flying in the air.  I'll play with that set later.

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

    Hi Di,

All the time you put into this one was definetly worth it! It looks so relaxing I want to jump in and chill out. Only thing missing is one shoe hanging off her foot. My husband used to say I was always in the process of shedding shoes (when that is I ever wore any) so of course I got really good at flipping them his way while looking totally innocent – lol! After all no one can really aim a hanging shoe while laying on ones stomach right????

I love this Garden stamp set. It's right where I am now…mixing, digging, turning soil in the planter for our next gardening adventure. No flowers this year. The husband wants veggies to 'spur' the economy in this household. Yesterday's hunting expedition and cell phone episode was a hoot! After laughing and sharing the sisterhood with you, I had my darling husband read your 'story'. He found no humor or moral in it. sorry. But I understood you to the T. I worry too, when he goes deep sea fishing. Anything can happen out in that vast ocean…and then what? heck with the fish. His fishing partner also checks in with his wife throughout the day. I don't hear anything until he comes home with his fish or fish stories. Men!

This card is so beautiful. There is a ton of work in it! Can you possibly think of anyone that is deserving of it? I think if I made something that precious, I would just have to buy myself a frame and hang it up.
    TFS!!
