Blog Hop and CHA Make n Takes

This 'n' That

31 Jan

My Guest Designer spot is winding down for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and it has been a lot of fun.  Korin asked me to do the final card for the SNSS blog for the blog hop and I am like "well shucks ma'am, I would be honored". This is the card I will put over there later.

Snss blog hop Stamp Set: Dino-mite, Itty Bitty Backgrounds

Paper: Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, Baja Breeze, Papertrey white

Ink: Memento, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Really Rust, Copic Markers

Misc: Nestabilities, Sewing Machine, White gel pen

This is the same dinasour stamp, I just added some eyelashes, fingernails, pouty lips and then I actually cut off the tail of the male dinosour in the back and glued it further down, this way it looks like he is bigger. I sponged the sun in the background so it looks like Dinah and Dino are out for a romantic walk…look how they are blushing.

I wanted to show you a few of the make n takes that I did while I was at CHA.

Recipe album cover CHA This was one of my favorite, when I sat down I thought I was only making the two scrapbook pages, then as I was working the lady said "you will get the rest of the pieces from your album that you will get to take with you" so after I picked myself up off the floor and shut my gaping mouth I finished my book.  I need to find all the business cards I got so I can go back and link my post from today and yesterday.

Here is a link but I am not sure if the book is here..

Recipe album CHA Here are the pages, and then the book has tons more pages, and embellishments, it is so cute, and the little rooster reminds me of the Kellogs rooster on the old cereal boxes…doesn't he?

I did not finish my pages all the way cause I don't know what I am going to do with it yet. They had it with the recipe on the one side and then a photo of the person you got the recipe from on the other.

Make n take CHA I also did this cute card at the Jillibean Soup booth. Cute huh?  I love the felt flowers, such fun shapes, this was a lickety split make n take.

Bind it all book CHA I also finally got to use a bind-it-all machine, and a dreamkut machine.

So this is a little book that I made, you can get the little kits at their site.

Man, I was wishing I had a wholesale license cause I would have been an ordering fiend..but then it is probably good I did not have one…ha!

Debbie olson make n take CHA Here is the little purse that I did at the JustRite booth and this is what Debbie Olson taught me to make. Cute huh? I had never used their stamps before and it is so cool how you can interchange them.

That is all I have taken pictures of so far, I am trying to get back to my normal duties at home, and I have catalogs and business cards in a pile that I need to go through.

I have to tell one funny little story. When Russ and I were walking around CHA, I wanted him to get to meet people, so if I saw someone I knew then I would introduce him.  One of them was Anna Wight, she even recognized Russ from being "Molly" and I took their picture together.  So later when we caught up to Susanna and Adela, Russ said "I met Anna Wight"…but what Susanna and Adela heard was…say it with me folks "I met Vanna White", so they were all excited and trotted off to go look for her.  Now we had no idea what they thought they heard, so we just let them go on their merry way, till we seen them later and they were like "we did not find Vanna White" and we were like "huh?" So funny, and I'm the deaf one!!!

Have a great Saturday everyone and thanks for stopping in! Tomorrow I have a treat for you, you will meet my youngest "fan".

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
