Anya and Riley – The End of the Story

This 'n' That

14 Jan

Who was that guy on the radio talk show? Jeff used to listen to him and he would tell a story for a long time and then he would say and now the end of the story or something like that?  Usually it was about a famous person and you did not know all those things had happened in their life. (added later- thanks to Donna – it was Paul Harvey and it was "The Rest of the Story"  – Thanks Donna!)  Anyway, they used to be great to listen to…so I wanted to post quickly and kinda let you know that I was one of the winners of the contest that The Greeting Farm had where I did the Anya card the other day, and I am so happy I get two free stamp sets, how fun is that? That was a fun card to do.

I also finished up my Hockey Riley card, I even had Mum Gibbs giving me a lesson on the sewing machine (Jeff's Dad & Mum are here visiting), and then we got it done and I was ready to add it to the card and I was like hmmmm…..it did not really go….so then I went with just striped paper.  I did cuttlebug the stripes for some texture though.

Riley Hockey Puck Off Stamp: Hockey Riley (Hanna Stamps!) the greeting is actually a personalized stamp I had made, it is obviously a play on words, so no one is to take offense. You can see the stamp there, I got it for the Loads of Love (truck set) for those fun cards you want to send to a friend. I just only stamped part of it and then used the Alphabet Sizzix Die for the P.

Ink: Memento, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Brilliant Blue, Really Red, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, Going Gray, Basic Gray

Paper: Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, DSP from the Hostess 6×6 pad.

Misc: Cuttlebug folder, nestabilities

Well I am hitting the hay a bit early tonight, well early for me! I got lots of paper to cut tomorrow, I did not get a whole lot done today…work wise.  I did manage to totally run out of catalogs on the day after they got in..ha! I ordered more!

Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Di, you crack me up! Oh how many times I want to say this to cranky customers on the phone!
Love this Moose – may have to send away for some of these adorable stamps – we don't have Moose stamps here in Australia, more's the pity! Keep the fun going – love it!

LOL! I love this cute little hockey playing moose and the sentiment is too cute! I'm a hockey mom and could think of many people to send this card to!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
