300K Blog Candy!

This 'n' That

2 Jan

Posted originally on December 23, 08 : We did it! Today we hit 300K! Can you believe that? I know I can't…so just like I promised, howsabout a little blog candy?  Is yer sweet tooth hankerin' for some goodies?

I will keep this post on the top until Friday January 2 at noon Arizona time, and then I will use random.org to pick one person to win.  Please make sure to scroll down for my latest entry, so you don't miss a thing!

300 K Blog Candy

The Blog Candy Includes: a Snail refill, Sakura Quickie Glue Pen, a Stampin' Up! Decor Elements Applicator Tool (I love this for giving my cards a nice crease after I score and fold the card), Bold Bright Brads, a roll of Alpine Felt Ribbon, Assorted Die Cuts, Hand Stamped Cards, A pack of 6×6 Patterns Pack of DSP, plus 3 stamp sets: Organic Grace, Best Yet, and Spring Song.

How does that sound?

All you have to do to enter to win is answer this question on this post:  What is your New Year's Resolution in regards to stamping, and what will you do to remedy it?  For example: Mine is to be more organized with all my stamping tools and not procrastinate, so I will put my things away and make sure to have labels on baskets, boxes, jars etc. so everything has it's place, and then it will be easier to find (I think these go hand in hand, if you are not organized you tend to put off doing what needs to be done).

Only one entry per person please. I will contact the winner on the 2nd of January!

Thanks so much for stopping in and good luck!!

Hugs, Di

my new years resolution is to stamp a card and put it right away into an envelope and mail it!!!!! for a girl who sells stamps, teaches it, shops like crazy for supplies i have to do a better job of actually mailing one out! I tend to hoard my cards like they are prized posessions instead of for the reason i started stamping- to share my art and gift it to someone lol.

Happy holidays and Happy New Year!! Oh how time flies.
My resolution for stamping is to get an organizer book and continually jot down my ideas to do with classes. I have so many ideas but often they get pushed aside or forgotten. I also need to clean up the clutter. Egads!! Then I won't be able to find anything. Well, happy stamping.

I have so many I don't know which one to pick first. I guess first of all I really need to get my sewing craft room organized to hanlde my paper crafts. I know that is stifling the creative flow! As I'd really lile to be making and sharing more projects on-line using the website I have with Stampin'UP!

    1. learn to use my Janome mini– I'll keep it out and plugged in and read and practice tutorials.

    2. Improve craftsmanship of cards. If I don't like it, trash or save for recycling into another project.

Thanks for such a generous blog candy offer!

    Oh…the millon dollar question.
    OK..here I am puttin' it out there…

    1) get my paperwork organised in my stamp room…I put one donw on the table and it grows and multiplys with abandonment. To achieve this I am actually hiring (have) someone to sort through all my boxes of papers and set up a filing system…this will be completed by mid january at the latest

    2) I will make 10 Christmas card a month..to achieve this I am going to challenge my downline to join me as a challenge. I should have 120 cards by this time next year!

    3) I am going to make 12 card a month that will be generic..and all I will have to do is to stamp the appropriate greeting when I need a Thank You, Get Well, Congrats etc card.
I will combine and use SCS's colour and sketch challenges as inspiration each week.

    4) I will send above 12 cards each month to someone!! LOL

BTW…if I win the blog candy (don't worry..I NEVER win anything LOL) I will donate almost all of it to the Ronald McDonald house in my neighbourhood 🙂

    Congrats on your 3ooK-th view!

I stopped making New Year's Resolutions but what I really would like to do is:

    1) Work on using up my scraps. They keep piling up for some reason.

    2) Give away cards I make instead of hoarding them.

    3) Design and build a unit to organize my embellishments.

    4) Get some scrapbooking done.

My New Year's Resolution for stamping is to learn more about it~ I've done a little stamping but it is a little intimidating to me as there are so many things you have to know. I only have a few sets but I want to learn how to use them and have fun with them.

    Thanks for a wonderful Contest.

Honestly, I don't usually make New Year's resolutions but IF I were, it would be to learn how to watercolor. I have stamped countless images on WC paper only to toss them because I never like the finished result. Maybe some day…

I go down, pick out what i want, and then bring it up stairs to make a mess. i'd like to have everything organized downstairs so i can stay in my "area" and have "me time". 🙂

Congratulations on 300000 hits. . .your blog is my first stop every morning! 🙂

My new years resolution is to find a permanant home for my stamping stuff. Right now it is piled up in the corner of my bedroom between a dresser and an end table/nightstand. There are tons of containers and baskets that i pull out and unpack to stamp. Even worse is when it's time to put it all away! Amazingly, I actually go to all that trouble for Stamping.

My New Years resolution is to finish what I start. There are sooo many projects that I only half completed. I have a "to do" list for stamping and have listed all of my half-finished projects. So before I start anything new, I'm going to make myself finish one of the projects on the list. These projects are cluttering up my desk and stamping space, so by finally finishing them, I'll also be cleaning up my space! Bonus! Wish me luck!

My card selling money goes back into supplies…I'm nowhere near making money…but it does take a bit of the bite out of the ridiculous amount that I have spent 🙂

My New Years resolution for stamping is to finally find a way to catagorize the stamps…words, Christmas, animals, etc. Don't really know how to do it..but I want to do it. I would have to break up sets. I get so tired trying to find a stamp I would like to use..I have to go through all the sets to find just one.
I would also love to start cards earlier and have them ready to go when needed. Oh, what a dream..but it could come true.
