Well today was a groundbreaking day in the Gibbs' household. We toured where Eric will be working, his first job. It is hard to believe, our little boy is all grown up and getting a job. I mean he is 20 and I was married at his age, but it just seems like he is so much younger. Eric will graduate early on December 12 and there will be a party in his class. Then he will go back for the real graduation with his class in May with the whole cap and gown. Arizona changed their laws or something, and originally Eric could stay in school till he was 22 (Eric is learning disabled) but now once he has all his credits, he has to graduate, this was going to be his last year anyway, but they are making him leave early.
We were a bit worried cause Eric HATES changes, and he LOVES school, in fact this year he has his teacher from like 5th or 6th grade as his teacher again, cause she teaches at the highschool now, and he is gonna miss her as much as she is going to miss him. She has watched him grow into quite the young man, along with Jeff and I.
So we were gone all morning, and then Eric and I headed to the Doc for a checkup for work and then he had to spend some money burning a hole in his pocket…it was a fun happy day. Oh and Mama (that's me) I got my new David Cook CD, gonna listen to it tomorrow. Daddy (that's Jeff) got his Hancock movie. So we were all skipping as we left the store.
So my 12 Days of Christmas special today is Bah-Dah Bling! Bah-Dah Brad! So I thought I would whip up a card to show off some of the fun designer brads. I used the vanilla hodgepodge brads in the center.
It looks like there is something behind the designer brad flower thingie, but it is just the shadow.
Stamp Set: Bloomin' Beautiful, Best Yet (Hostess Set)

Congrats for Eric!!! He will do just fine!;) BTW I love your color combo my two favorite colors Tang tango,Kiwi Kiss, and Choc Chip. I usually wear orange or green (bright) when I feel down (usually cuz it's not sunny and there's fog lingering around)But seeing those colors on your card makes me feel HAPPY!!!
WOW! This is beautiful!
Congratulations to Eric! Wishing him great success with his first job! Great card too.

Congrats to Eric and good luck on his new job. Our son will be transitioning from school to a work or workshop enviornment in the next couple of years. He can attend his special needs school until 22 as well. Kevin also hates change, so it will be a slow transition. He thrives on routine.

Fantastic card Di – the colours work so well together and it looks really lovely with the bloom in the centre and the printed paper to match! Love it.
My goodness. I saw your card on Card of the Week and I just love it. Had to stop by and tell you so! Have a great weekend!
