I am going to look in my crystal ball and guess that we will hit 300K hits tomorrow, so that means I need to find some yummy blog candy. I will figure it out tomorrow and post it Wednesday.
I have had a blast today starting to get my cards ready for January. The new Hanna Stamps! sets are coming, and I also am the Guest Designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for the month of January. I also have been asked to teach a class or two at a Camp weekend in Prescott, so those ideas are swirling around in my head too. If you go to Prescott Pines you can get some more information. My 10/10/20 Thank you card class is also in January, no rest for the wicked eh?
Everyone seemed to love Jeff's card. Maybe I should have him do a card once a month, you think I could talk him into that? Of course I will get my answer tomorrow, he reads my blog every morning when he gets to work. I am excited cause we are meeting MAMMa (My Arizona Mum Marlene) and MADVi (My Arizona Dad Vinnie – now that does not look near as nice as the MAMMa does it?) Anyway, we are meeting Marlene and Vinnie for supper, the guys really enjoy visiting with each other, and well Marlene and I could gab for hours, and in fact we have many times!
Well Eric finally starts his first official day of work tomorrow, the paperwork is in and all is ago, except for the day program stuff they are still waiting for that to be approved….he is so excited to at least get to go to work, he kept asking and asking, so finally today I was able to say, yes tomorrow!
So yesterday was Jeff's turn to color Pat the Dog, and today I colored mine. I actually had stamped two in case he had to practice, and well he did not need to practice, so I had one all stamped ready to go. This is my sketch for Paper Craft Planet so make sure you try it out and when you upload your card make sure to tag it sk122008.

So Jeff has been having fun with his Shop Smith, I teased him that he was making sawdust. He still needs to get some things…one of those is WOOD! Ha! And he totally needs to learn how to use everything. My BFF Tracy said to make sure to show what he made, and here it is! We have quite a few mesquite trees on our property and he has cut some down over the years, and stacked the wood up, so he got sawing on one of the logs and look what he made me.
We have not decided yet what it is…he said it could be a spanking stick, and then he winked at me! The bugger!
The mesquite wood is actually really pretty. You can see all the details in it.
We are having a whole bunch of rain right now, and it is supossed to rain all night long, we really need it, but we will be one big mud puddle in the morning.
Hey on a side note anyone out there watch All My Children? I used to watch it years ago and I was spinning the channels the other day and saw them do a memorial for Myrtle. I looked online and see that she actually died in October from pnemonia, yet they were saying she died the night before on the episode, so my question is, how did she die on the show, and who was in the hospital bed (if they even showed that), if she really had passed away 2 months ago?
Well have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!
Hugs, Di
Ahhh..googled it and see what you are now talking about..as Tim would say "UH UH UH"
I vote a definate YES to seeing a card from Jeff every month!! Uhmmm ya think you could get him to color in a Cowboy Hat and Chaps!!
Love the piece of mesquite!! Beautiful grain! If he put a V in the end and a Diggit on the side of it, it could be an Oven rack Push Inner/ Pull Outer thingy!!!
Love Ya's

The doggie is so cute. Maybe Jeff's project could be used as a hanger for cards. Maybe put some clips on it.
Hi Di,
The perfect ley stick I have to say. In case you're not a weaver a ley stick is a special weaving tool with multiple uses. Beats the wool into nice even lines, helps create a warp and is used in "dressing" the loom. I do love it when I get to bring out my spinning and weaving vocabulary. Mystifies many stampers just like stamping vocab did and often still does for this tyro stamper.
Put a few cut out grooves in the ends and it would also make a beautiful shuttle for weaving. If hubby is serious about woodworking have him check with a local weaving shop they love handcrafted tools from interesting woods and could show him what it should look like for best use.
What a crafty pair you make!
Hugs and blessings – Jean
