A Camping We Will Go…

This 'n' That

16 Dec

…well actually it's been a year or more since I had my butt in our trailer, camping that is…I take stuff out there now and again, like the million plastic grocery sacks we have, cause ya never know when we will have an outpouring of garbage when we are camping.  We got a travel trailer a few years ago.

DSC03842 A nice contained, lock the door at night, air conditioned/heater too, no need to zip yourself in with a broken zipper to get mad about the bugs crawling on your leg all night, with a flushable toilet, so you dont have to wake your hubby up at night to follow you with the flashlight to the crapper in the dark, after he fights with the broken zipper so you can squish out a tiny hole in the bottom of where you could only get the zipper un-zipped to, with electricity so you can stamp while you camp, and watch movies while the guys fish all day, kinda trailer.

But it ain't bad when you camp with this guy.

DSC03991 Check out those baby blues! (I can see my BFF Tracy smiling already…)

This was a rainy camping weekend, another time I am glad we had the trailer.

I really need to actually schedule trips in my dayplanner to go this year, I get all my classes figured out and never plan family time, how sad is that?

I think I saw a tear trickle down the old man's face!

Riley Camping So a couple days ago I posted a fun UPS card and I altered the Hanna Stamps! Riley Van stamp. But this is actually what the stamp looks like, and then I have it pulling the trailer…fun eh? Now of course, you would not really drive down the road like this, that is illegal and dangerous, but this is just Jeff trying to find the right place to park so I went in the trailer to make sure all my stamp supplies were safe.

Stamps: Riley Van, Things Riley Would Say, Lovely as a Tree, Itty Bitty Background

Paper: Really Rust Textured, Brocade Blue Textured, Night of Navy Textured, Watercolor Paper

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Brocade Blue, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Going Gray, Basic Gray, Baja Breeze

Misc: Word Window Punch

I so need to find those pictures that I did for displays one time…let me look, I just know it was a 12×12 or was it 8 1/2×11 (I can't remember) but I could not take it in one picture so I scanned it, so it is like split in two. My old SAM Brandon (sweetie) stuck them together and emailed them to me, but do you think I can find it on here?  Last year Jeff was messing around with my computer and well let me tell you he said he was looking at New Yankee Workshop and it got messed up, and well I do believe he was looking at New Spank Me Bleepshop, cause it cost me $300.00 to fix the computer and they had it a week, so since then he does NOT touch it…the computer I mean…hee!hee!  and I can't find half the stuff (its on here but not where it should be) I am determined to find it…

12x12 picture half copy

So here is the left side, Jeff cooking some din-din, what is it about camping and cooking outside that makes the food taste so much better?

This also shows my stamping activites for the weekend…ha!ha!

and then..

here is the right side…12x12 picture other half copy

Shows Eric being a goofball trying NOT to be IN the photo, like where would he go? I am right there taking the picture.

This was also when the new catalog came out, so here I am looking at it.

So I hope you have enjoyed this stroll down memory lane.

Have a terrific Tuesday, and thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

I just soooo love camping. One of these days I am hoping we can get a travel trailer. We are still doing the zip, unzip, zipper get stuck routine, and after about 3 days of that, you think you never want to go again, but you do, cause there is just something special about being in the great outdoors. Oh and you are so right about the food, especially breakfast!!!

I love that card! You should put a bow on one of the moose so that we can tell that it's you hanging out of the back!

    Di,
I so love to camp! We used to do a lot of it back when my hubby was around…..
And I love the camping Diva thing you got goin' on…..you stamp and read, the guys drive and muck around in the mud….now, that's my kind of camping.
    Hugs,

Hey girl, That's a very cool trailer. It's just about the size that we've been looking for. Give me the specs, will ya? I like to camp but ONLY in a trailer (hard sides – safe from my irrational fear of bears!!) Oh, and I love to be able to simply turn on the burner to get my coffee in the a.m.!! Love ya! Melanie

I am very new to stamping and have been collecting all kinds of "stuff" in the last 4 months. I don't have any organization skills when it comes to all this little items, punches, ribbon, brads, glitter etc. My New Year Resolution is to become organized and put things away so that I can find them again when I need them. I am always looking for something! ACK! Renee

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
