Trois Poules Français

This 'n' That

30 Nov
Excusez-moi? Pardon? What?  (speaking with a french axxcent) I said Three French Hens!!!

Today I am in charge of the 12 Days of Christmas Event on Paper Craft Planet - and it is day 3, so I will give you 3 guesses what it is….no it is not a partridge in a pear tree, and no it is not 2 turtledoves, yes! ding! ding! you are correctamundo it is: DSCN6413 copy

now this is not the hen part is it? I mean these look like baguettes…ha! in fact yes they are baguettes, these are the baguettes that the three french hens have bought to take home to their 3 french wives.

Ok my hubby just told me hens are a girl, well hmmm…I am gonna pretend these are boys…yeah…it's my story and I'm stickin' to it…

DSCN6414 copy Here are those rascally three french boy hens.

Sipping their champagne and carrying their baguettes home to their frisky young brides.

They are so very excited.

Don't they look it?

Wanna see the rest of the card?

Here it is…

DSCN6412 copy

It probably is not my favorite card, the flower seems très grand (very big), but it had to be because the ribbon is big and then the circle was big.

I also wish that when they made this set they would have made one of the items in it, this being the baguette, be like an accessory aside of the hen. Cause I had to cut up the baguette the masculine hen was carrying to be able to put them on the circle.

Stamps: 12 Days of Christmas – Pennyblack – this set is so adorable and all my PCP DT girls are so tres jealous I have it…..had to rub that in….désolé les filles (sorry girls)

Ink: Palette Noir, Baja Breeze, More Mustard, Ruby Red, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Going Gray

Paper: More Mustard, Whisper White, Watercolor paper, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, K&Company Background paper

Misc: Nestabilities, Paper Piercer, White gel pen, Pretties flower, Riding Hood Red Striped ribbon from Mini catalog

So ok, now on to the challenge…make a card or a project using a hen, owl, rooster or chicken. If you can make it a holiday card using any of these that is even better.

Here are the rules:

1. Upload your card/project to PCP starting Sunday November 30 and no later then Monday December 1 at 12:01am EST

2. Include the tag 12day3 (in lower case) (in the tag spot as you add your card) that way I can find it and put it in our Day 3 Album.  It will also make sure that your project will be entered to win a fabulous gift from our sponsor for Day 3 Innovative Stamp Creations.

Tag FYI: PCP does not automatically load your project into the album, I have to do that manually so don't freak out if you don't see your card immediately.  I will be checking throughout the day to add them. Just make sure you use the tag 12day3 so I can find it, otherwise I won't know where it is.

Have fun and I can hardly wait to see what you will come up with.

Merci pour l'arrêt dans! (Thanks for stopping in!)

Hugs, Di

LOL Oh my gosh, this is too cute, Di! I can't believe I'm so stupid as to ask what stamp set you're talking about when I'm the one that told everyone about it! DUH! CUTE card! I love how you used the bread pieces in your circle embellishment!
