Take a Look Again…

This 'n' That

29 Nov

…so today I went through about 7 forget me not keepers, I can not believe how many cards I have…holy moly…but I mean I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 10 years and that is a lot of swapping.

DSCN6410 copy This card I remember making for my upline Rhonda's swap.

Hopefully it won't offend anyone.  I remember when I made it I took a picture of it and emailed it to Rhon and I said "is it ok if I swap this card?" cause it is her meeting and she makes the rules and I did not want to get into trouble, and she laughed and said "I could definitely swap the card" I can not remember now if the swap was wedding or baby or what, but it was so funny when the cards went around the room, you would hear people say "ahh" (cause they see the baby feet) and then they would say "ohhh" cause they realized what the feet were doing….some girls were saying "look at it again" when their friend was not seeing "it", it was funny, and everyone got a kick out of it,  I just used a set called Cuddles and Tickles and I had cut the feet apart, so I could do whatever I wanted with them…you could walk them on a scrapbook page, I had even intended to make a "Footprints" card but never got it done.

DSCN6411 copy I usually try to do a 10/10/20 Black & White card class every year, and this was one of the cards we did.

I gotta tell you, you would think that this would be an easy class to design but it can be hard to be so limited in color.

It was one of the easiest to cut, and gosh those girls were done in no time, but it is hard on my old brain.

So my fingernails are almost grown out from having fake ones on for so many years, but my gosh I remember why I got them done, not just cause they look nice, but cause I am a picker, not a nose picker, but I am a finger picker, I am constantly messing with my fingers, in fact, I even had a hang nail I messed with today…OMG! have you seen that commercial on Sci-Fi where the guy pulls a hang nail and he rips a big hole clear down his arm, well it was not as bad as that, but close.  I need nerve pills I swear!!

I got a fun packet of paper today from Paper Temptress, and I am excited to give it a try.  I am in charge of the 12 Days of Christmas challenge for tomorrow over at Paper Craft Planet , so I may see if any of it will work for that.  Make sure you are going over there and participating in the challenges the PCP-DT are hosting.  You are entering to win some free prizes from our sponsors.  Yesterday was a Partridge in a Pear Tree, today is Two Turtle Doves.  So go make a card with a dove, a turtle, a reptile and post it over there.  Hmmm….I wonder what my challenge for tomorow will be? Ha!!!! You can't win if you don't play. When you upload your card you need to tag or use the keyword 12day2 (all lowercase) and then the hostess will manually pull them into the gallery.  Don't freak out if it does not get moved over immediately, we have to do this manually….which means…manually! Ha!!!!

Have a great Saturday, I can't belive that November is almost over. It is hard to believe eh?

Thanks for stopping in…go get your card made, and I'll see you over at the Planet!

Hugs, Di

    Hi Di,

I always "thought" you had a little sauce, a little sass and a lot of sizzle in your make up now I "know" you do.

I love the Husband Wife line but now my brain is going nuts trying to turn it into a poem or point/counterpoint with another tag line…..hmm…..

Love the swaps & Thanks for Sharing.

    Hugs and Wishes – Jean

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
