…have all these boxes of cards? You know the ones on my red shelf in the forget me not keepers? For days like this.
Tonight was my first Hanna Stamps! release party since I became a DT member, today I finished cutting the packets for my 10/10/20 Christmas class, I have to finish cutting for my calendar class, I have Fall Fest coming up and need to get stuff ready for that, and I have display stamping to do for the Stampin' Up! Leadership in Orlando. Not much to do eh?
So needless to say no stamping got done today, well nothing I can show you anyway…ha! So I go to my handy dandy little boxes of cards and I find a little gem made by my BFF Tracy…cause I would feel bad if I did not post something.
The trick is to stamp on cardstock vellum, then turn it over and lay it facedown on your mouse pad, and on the backside take your wooden stylus and go around the image, and color it in so to speak with the ball of the stylus.
This one happened to be a flower, this will push out the vellum and make it turn white. You dont want to push too hard and tear it though.
When you are done take a marker and add a bit of color, the ligher colors can be added to the front, the darker colors to the back.
This shows you a little better.
Try it out, and let me see what you do.
Make sure to come back and comment, and leave me a link to your blog, or where your card is posted, over at Paper Craft Planet, or Splitcoaststampers.
Thanks Tracy for the beautiful card!!!!!
So I had ER on tonight, and there is a new intern on there, and doesn't she look like Sara Palin? I think she does. Plus as it was ending they showed a preview and it looks like it is gonna be like a flash back cause the bald doctor is there, and didn't he pass away years ago? I think they are gonna pull out all the stops for this last season.
Have a great Friday and thanks for stopping in!
Hugs, Di
Wow! That IS a gem! That Tracy is so flippin' TALENTED!!! Love this gorgeous, gorgeous card!
Well I know we are our own worse critic. So I'm thinking Gee I think I could of colored that better. And NOW I would because "YOU" have taught me so much about coloring.
I do love that technique. A Little tip: You can do a type shading by adding dark color to the back of the vellum and light color to the front.
Love Ya

Tracy, your card is stunning!
I love working with vellum. My passion started with Pergamano, which takes so much time. But the results are awesome.
Anyway, you can see one recent Stampin Up sample on my blog: http://bloomingpink.blogspot.com/
Di, thanks for all the inspiration!
The flower is awesome, I have to try it!(AND I have it)I have vellum, don't know if it is cardstock vellum but we'll see how it goes! Thanks for the awesome technique.
Yeppers, ER said they are bringing back all the originals for the final season so, I am waiting for George Clooney oh & Carter…….mmmmmmmmm.
Bit yes Dr. Green died after Brain Surgery so I am not sure how that will work. Luv the card (Tracy is just as awesome as YOU!!)& luv you; TTYS!!
