Being Busy Is Good…

This 'n' That

9 Nov

…it may make me unclutter.  Not that all my cards are clutter, since they are all lovingly in boxes or baskets and things of that nature. But seriously I have thousands and thousands of cards.  So with me being busy with classes, Fall Fest, more classes, SU! displays, DT work, etc.  I have been looking through some of my past cards, just so you have something to look at while you drink your coffee and eat your danish…or whatever you do when you sit at the computer…

Fish copy So I found these oldies. Oh my gosh do you remember these sets? I remember doing the fish card, and I got it colored, I mean it's a rainbow trout, and I think Jeff said that was not what they looked like, but it matched the cardstock. Ha!

I don't even remember the name of the set, but I do recognize the rectangles behind it, that was Little Shapes..oh for pete's sake now that does not even sound right, I just know we used that set all the time. Thought our life would be over if it retired, and then it did, and it hurt for just a little bit, but look we survived. Now Itty Bitty Backgrounds better never retire cause that one will really put me over the edge.

Fair weather friends How about this little beauty? OMG! have I come a longggg way in the coloring department or what? This one is pretty sad.  I almost…gulp…touched it up before I took the picture cause well I would do this way different now, but I don't have the time, and well it's not like it's ugly, she is darling, and I love the fence and all, I just know I color different now, plus Stampin' Up! has come a long way too, with the aqua painters, the watercolor papers, the watercolor crayons etc.

So since I have been pulling some of these oldies but goodies out I so need to put an envelope with them, and put them on my spinner rack and sell 'em, or heck..gasp..actually mail someone a card. Ha!

So today at class we were commenting on how much paper I have cut for the Christmas class, I will have to look it up but it has to be over 800 cards, and we were also laughing that after teaching them this many times…I am very sick of them…ha!  But everyone seems to be enjoying making them so that is the main thing.  Only 12 more people to teach, and this class is over………….

I wanted to say a quick hi to the brand new faces that were at class today Jena, Michelle & Melissa, it was fun having you here, and it was great seeing some of my regular gals too, Robin, Sharon, Vivian, Linda, Geri and Di..you all mean the world to me, and make my job such a pleasure.  It is really worth all the hours and hours and hours of cutting paper…ha!  Hey if I did not cut paper I would have to get a job and work for someone else doing what they wanted me to do right? and well I like being my own boss.

Virginia was supossed to be at class (I think everyone that comes to my classes has met Virginia one time or another, she always teases that she is my professional student cause she rarely misses a class) but she is under the weather, so keep good thoughts for her, and Virginia, lots of love and I hope you get to feeling better.

I also looked today, and holy moly over 250K blog hits…that is un-real people.  I'm gonna let it get to 300K and do some blog candy, how's that?

Also if you have emailed me lately and you don't hear from me right away, don't worry I will email you back, and if you don't hear from me, and you need to know something right away, cause sometimes I miss emails or they don't make it through, or so many come in, they get lower on the screen, totally email me again ok? I totally don't mind…gee did I say totally enough? I totally did!!!

Well that's it for me tonight, I gotta get my beauty sleep, so I can get ready for the classes tomorrow.

Have a great Sunday, and thanks so very much for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
