Another Challenge and An Award Too

This 'n' That

16 Nov

So I told you yesterday I would show you my challenge card for Paper Craft Planet . (PCP for short)

SK111508 The sketch to follow was this and it was designed by fellow PCPDT Super Nova Wendy Price.

When you go over to PCP, just put SK111508 in the search box and all the cards will pop up.

So every Friday there is a different sketch and the theme this month is Gratitude.

We also have some fun new prizes headed your way so make sure to sign up and tell them I sent ya!

Pcpsk111508 full So anyway, this is the card that I did for the challenge.

Stamp Set: Wonderful Words, Flores Suaves

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Pink Pirouette, Going Gray, Baja Brreze, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black marker

Paper: Basic Gray, Pink Piroutte, Watercolor paper, Riding Hood Red, Cardstock Vellum (for butterfly)

Misc: Color Spritzer, White gel pen

Pcpsk111508 close I stamped the butterfly on cardstock vellum and then I colored it on the backside, cut it out and glue dotted it to the front.  I added a little gel pen on the front of the body.

Kreativ_blogger_award_copy So I was given an award from  Nora  (she actually said it was me that got her buying Stampin' Up! products - WOW!) and I have to pick 7 things that I love. Well I thought man that is hard and then you get to thinking about it, and you go "only 7?' So I might combine some.

1.) My husband Jeff

2.) My son Eric

3.) My family and friends

4.) Sammi and Toby – our 4 legged kids

5.) Stamping and Creating

6.) My hubby's laugh…I mean the real gut one, like when he was watching Death at a Funeral.

7.) Ok this one is weird, but I love the smell of my hubby's pits……….these are deodranted pits at the end of the day…………not old sweay undeodranted pits….there is something about his body chemistry that mixes with aftershave, deodrant, cologne, (his brother Tim has it too – Mum Gibbs said the girls used to follow him around school cause he smelled so good) that just makes it so sexy………….ok, sorry I told you it was weird.

OK, I am also supossed to give the award to 7 blogs, now this is so hard cause you don't want to leave anyone out you know? I read so many, and some for different reasons. I want to pick people I have not picked before and I want to pick blogs that inspire me.

So I give the award to:

Jeanne - I have gotten to know her a bit better since being on the Hanna Stamps! Design Team, and I have always loved her cards, and now I love her just as much!

Cambria - I have always been in awe of Cambria, I told her the other day when we were chatting, that she is like a "brand" name to anyone that stamps. And she has started her own stamp company, Our Craft Lounge and that has to be like a dream come true.

Adela - My fellow Molly Stamps, PCP and Hanny Stamps! DT member, she is an inspiration and she is always so happy no matter what, and she is right now evacuating her house because of the fires in California so keep her and her family and all the other Californians in your prayers

Michelle - Well what can I say, I want to live at Mish Mash's house, or at least visit, I am in awe of her stamping abilities, and also of all the little this and that containers and the vintage decorations she shows on her blog.

Sharon - Another home that I would love to visit, I love the shots of her studio and I even ordered the same marker holder as she shows on her blog, and I love it!

Jenn - I met Jenn through Hanna Stamps! and wow, she is one talented lady!!!

And last but not least..drum roll please…

Susanna - Who invited me to be part of her Planet, and it is a fun place to be, and I have met even more great people over there.

I mean come on, have you really met anyone (ok there have been a few in my years) that you did not like that share the love of stamping?

So I wanted to thank everyone for emailing me today to be added to my email newsletters. I also had a bunch of subscribers to my blog.  Just to make sure you know, the subscribing to my blog, JUST subscribes you to my blog.  If you want to get my newsletters in your email you must email me at digibbs@stampingwithdi.com and ask me to add you…I do not want to assume that just cause you subscribe to my blog you also want me emailing you, cause it's a whole different thing.

Have a very pleasant Sunday and thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
