A Little Friendly Challenge

This 'n' That

13 Oct

So my girlfriend Cindy and I were gabbing one day, I think it was her idea, and she said we should do a challenge on our own.  We would both use the same stamp set – (SURPRISE!!!! it's one ya have to color in!!!!), background paper, cardstock, and ribbon, and make a card and post it on the same day.

Cindy and me challenge full Well this is my card, now I know I am gonna drool over hers, she has talent coming out every pore, and she will kick my butt, but this was so much fun!

Stamp Set: A Cardinal Christmas

Paper: Ruby Red, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper, Watercolor paper

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Ruby Red, Riding Hood Red, Rose Red, Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, More Mustard

Misc: Vanilla Hodge Podge Brads, Nestibilites Circle & Scallop Circle, Alpine Ribbon Originals

My little niece Charlie was over today, and she was looking at this set (as all the pieces sat on my table waiting to be started) I have 4 classes in different stages of being done, so each table has something on it.  She was saying that this was the prettiest stamp set she has ever seen!  I did see a cardinal outside today too, so that was a sign right? A sign to say don't forget to do your challenge card!!

I can hardly wait to see what Cindy has come up with, and I hope you have enjoyed looking at our cards, as much as I enjoyed "playing with Cindy!"

Have a great Columbus Day and to all my Family and Friends in Canada, Happy Thanksgiving, I wish we were there with you!

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

BEAUTIFUL, Di!!! I had to laugh, though…our cards seriously look like they were made by the same person…right down to the Nesties circles in the middle…too FUNNY! I guess I'm gonna need to get the PETITE Circle Nesties too…they are CAH-UTE! Love you, Schnookums! It was fun playing with you! 🙂

Are you sure you two weren't in cahoots. They look so similar, both lovely, but similar. Great minds think alike ? Hmmmmm

Di-this is just beautiful! You AND Cindy are both such talented stampers…I love your stuff! Saw this first on Splitcoast and was immediately attracted to it-so when I looked to see who the artist was, guess what my reaction was? "OF COURSE!" it had to be someone I already know and admire…

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
