200K – Holy Mackeral

This 'n' That

8 Oct

Can you believe that yesterday I hit the 200K hits milestone. Well that is simply unbelievable, and I want to thank all of you for making it happen. I'll have to work on some blog candy eh?

But instead I am working on my calendar class, so no stamping for me today. Instead I want to share a little picture with you.

Max & Ruby Wanna-be copy Here is Toby and his new pal (an old stuffed animal I drug out of the closet…he drags it around and chews on it and lays on it and lays by it), oh yeah and his little green "blankie". Now before you tell me he should not be chewing on a stuffed animal, only approved dog toys, he is not biting holes in it, and if he does get destructive with it, I will throw it away.

Now take a good look at how he has his ears…Toby…not the bull…

Does he not look like the cartoon characters from a show called Max & Ruby and it is a tv show on Nickelodean, every time I see the show (yeah, school's back in, so it won't be on for a while) I think of Toby when I see their ears. (I did have a picture on here but now it is gone….I know if you google it, you will find it.)

So I finished the book The Host last night, and it took me a while to get into it, but it was soooo good! So if you are reading it or thinking about reading it, give it a chance.  To me, I would call it Sci-Fi and I don't usually read Sci-Fi, so that might be why it took me a while to get into it.  If you have read it, let me know what you thought of it.

Well I am getting off here for now, I will post a card for ya tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Our dogs favourite toy was a little stuffed shark that we won in one of those claw machine things.
We stitched that thing back together with fishing line and he would still manage to undo the seams!

Toby is adorable!! I have a yorkie named Mollie..I got her from the rescue 8 years ago..The girl at the rescue said the deffinition of a yorkie is the dog with ears that never sleep, so true they are always "up and big".

I gotta tell you, Max and Ruby worry me…where are their parents? and why does 7 year old Ruby get to walk around – everywhere- unsupervised, in fact in charge of a 3 year old (or so) Max? Something is fishy about that family….

(my daughter, however, loves the show and tells me to 'get over it' and 'it's a cartoon—huh!!)

Looks like a bull from Tex Earnhart. I had a few of those that I used in my first grade classroom
Left AZ 7 years ago, laughed when I saw that bull.
    "And that ain't no bull!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
