Ha! Thought I had another recipe didn't ya? Did you try that Chicken Spaghetti yet? I am gonna make it again, cause it was so good and easy. Good and easy is what I am all about.
So speaking of easy, look how cute this card is. I used a Gina K stamp set called Baskets of Happiness but everything else is Stampin' Up!
What I did was I scored and folded my More Mustard cardstock and then I laid the score side on the Sizzix Die Scallop Circle #2 (the larger of the two) but I placed it so that the score line stays inside the scallop, that way the card will open, and not just cut two circles. I just tied the ribbon on it to hide that (cause it does look a little weird), and also to spruce it up. Cute eh?
I wanna try it with the big Scallop Circle die too. I just wish I had more circles to do some layering, the coluzzle has too much of a gap. I tried to hand cut a circle and it looked horrible, so I just added the gel pen and did some faux stitching just so it had something there, and it turned out pretty cute.
Here it is from the side, so you can see it better. I just think it is darling..have I said that enough? That I like this card? Wouldn't this be cute on a gift bag, or if someone is feeling blue at work you could make a little card and set it on their desk when they come in in the morning you would cheer them up.
So today I was over at Rhonda's we got everything pretty much ready for Saturday's Summer Smash Stamping Bash, we just have to do some last minute little things, and I can hardly wait to show you what we are doing. I have to wait till after the event though, cause it has to be a surprise! People have been asking to see what they are making and we are standing firm…nope!! Hee! hee! Mean eh?
Anyone that knows me too, I am the worst person for surprises, I can totally keep em, but like when I get a gift for someone, I want to give it to them right away. I usually do not Christmas shop early just because of this. Although this year, I did do some on-line shopping. I am so glad we can do that with Stampin' Up! now, in this day and age and the hustle and bustle of every day life ordering on-line saves time.
So anyway hang tight and then I'll brag on Sunday, and show you all the goodies everyone got to make.
Have a great Wednesday, I have to go to the eye doctor and see about these glasses, I am thinking they need to be fixed, maybe the "focals" need to be moved…I am getting used to them somewhat, but I can not see up close, and well I am in the business of coloring, and being able to see up close is a real advantage.
Thanks for stopping in!
Hugs, Di
This is a very cute card. I just recently discovered Spellbinders Nestabilities collection. Their dies are great for making circles, scalloped shapes and more. The cut, emboss and can be used as a stencil. Much easier than using the coluzzle and you have more options. Just wanted to share. keep up th great work.
pretty! ok, Im adding punches and nestere to my "need" list. LOL….
