The Fab Four!

This 'n' That

20 Aug

Fab four copy

It was "A Beginning" of another Stampin' Up! Convention, and "If I Needed Someone" I knew I could count on my BFF Tracy, My Arizona Sister Jen, and my Arizona Mum Marlene for "Help!", and a good time!

"Yesterday" one of my Demonstrators and friend Debbie McKelvey (hey "Girl"), made me "Glad All Over" when she emailed me this picture she took of us girls at Convention, I do believe it is was taken while we were in line at Momento Mall. We had to wait like 2 hours in line, this was after waiting for an hour in the line to get our bag, new stamp sets and new catalog, and Jen was a "Honey Pie" and said let me "Carry That Weight" and she took my SU! tote. She said it helped to balance her out! You can see the criss/cross of the two straps on her. I wanted to "Shout" "Oh! Darling" you have ended my "Misery". I won't be "Searchin'" in my bag for some back pain pills before I say "Good Night" to everyone.

OK, can ya see where this is going?  Yeah, those of you out there that are Beatles fans are getting it, you younguns out there….maybe not so much!

Let's carry on, shall we? If "It's All Too Much" you can scroll down and "That'll Be The Day".

We finally saw "The End" of the line and we knew our "Wait" was over and we would be able to go into Momento Mall, and we hoped there would still be some good stuff for us to buy. Hey you "Can't Buy Me Love" but you can sure buy me some stamps, and momento mall keepsakes!

So we finally sat and looked at our catalogs and we were like "Money (That's What I Want)", as our wish lists kept growing and growing, and Marlene said "Why"is there no Cuttlebug stuff? and we said "That's All Right Mamma"  there has to be a surprise for tomorrow, and sure enough.  Shelli (Co-founder and CEO of SU!) revealed the very next day we were gonna sell the Sizzix Big Shot, and we all cried "Ain't she Sweet" and I heard someone yell "Hallelujah, I Love Her So", and can ya "Dig It".

So we were all so anxious to "Get Back" home to order our Big Shot "Because" who wanted to wait till the 12th!? Not me, and I learned from our little preview orders to expedite that "Bad Boy" cause I was not going to wait on an order again, no siree "Not a Second Time".

Well this is turning into "The Long and Winding Road" when I just wanted to share a super picture "That Means A Lot" to me of the Fab Four, and I just want to tell Debbie again "Thank You Girl" for taking such an "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" picture, and to Sister Jen, BFF Tracy and Mum Marlene – "P.S. I Love You", and please "Don't Ever Change".

So to end this "Long Long Long" tale, how about a card?

This is the card I did for the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge, I have never done a SCS challenge before and my girlfriend Cindy www.onehappystamper.typepad.com said I should try it, and actually it was so totally fun, cause I did not have to sit there and figure out what colors I was gonna use I just had to sit there and figure out what stamp set I was gonna use….so here it is….

SCS CC180 006 copy

Stamp sets: A Flower for all Seasons, Serene Spring

Paper: Ruby Red, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, Holiday Treasures DSP, Watercolor paper

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Watercolor Crayons

Misc: Crafters tool kit, aqua painter

I was gonna add a ribbon or a button, but sometimes less is more. So I left it as is.

I cut out the tulips and the bird and glued them on the front, so they stick out slightly, I also cut a tulip from the basket and laid it in front of the basket.  SCS CC180 003 copy

I hope you like it, and I hope you try some of the challenges over on SCS, I'm glad I did.

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

You are welcome for the picture, yes we were in that "long and winding road" of a line for Momento Mall. I was so glad the picture turned out so well. At least we didn't have to yell for "Help"…yeah I'm one of the old ones who got the song connections. Cute card, but then so are al your cards!

Thanks for the musical trip down memory lane, Diana … "I Luv You, ya, ya, ya"

As for the long line-up at Momento Mall, you should have joined us at 7am – not! I will NEVER do that again; I'll take my chances with items being sold out, lol.

    cheers

great website, love all your work:) I was referred to your site at a stampin class. The demonstrator was teaching us one of your techniques, the tall bag from I believe you posted it in June. It was so easy. I'm going to make it for my son's teachers the second week of school and fill it with candy. Thanks for a great site.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
