Spooky Stuff – BOO!

This 'n' That

16 Aug

I'm gonna side track a bit from the title of this post to say:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY ARIZONA MUM MARLENE!!!!  I love you and am blessed to have you in my life.  I can hardly wait for you to meet my real Mum, and you two will love each other immediately, cause heck ya got me in common right??  Hee! Hee! Anyway, I hope you have a great day, and know how you are loved by so many.

I totally fell in love with the Spooky Spider Decor Elements that we got to order early cause we went to convention.  At convention they showed it on a candy jar, and well it was too cute not to copy. So I went to my local…yes we have a local Target now.  Don't laugh, let me tell ya there are advantages to living in the boonies and disadvantages.  Now an advantage is we have real shopping out here…ok I got off track there…it's like you say the word shopping, and my eyes glaze over….so I went to Target and got this big jar, (added content since original post: the jar is 10.5 inches tall and then of course the lid makes it taller, it was over in the kitchen section – it was $13.49, and these are the numbers on my receipt 200000711 – I hope that helps) and I had already picked up some plastic skulls last week or so at Ross.  I was not sure what I was gonna do with them.  I was thinking shadow box or something, but hey ya never know when a bag of skulls are gonna come in handy, I might be on a game show and they would say "who has a bag of skulls in their purse" and it would be me, and I would win…so back to the jar.

My spooky spider Decor Elements came yesterday, and I put it on the jar, OMG! it took like 5 minutes tops to add it to the jar from start to finish, and it looks so stinking cute. Just think what you would pay for a jar with this already on it….lots! But not using the Decor Elements!

Spooky jar empty Does this not look so cute? It came with three extra lines so if you were putting this on a wall or window you could make the line out the spider's butt longer but I know my anality would constantly be straightening it, if I added it to the lid and the person took out a candy and did not line it back up.

Spooky filled jar

So here is the jar filled with candy, it is a little hard to see the spooky spider with the candy in it on the camera, and let me tell you it took lots of candy to fill it too, and that baby weighs a lot too!

What did you say?

What are those things in there with the candy?

Well that is the spooky part….are ya ready?

Spooky skull

Well it's a skull of course! Aint that funny?

They just kinda peek out here and there.

Not like I added bugs or anything…now that would be gross!

So me and Sharon are going to see Mamma Mia tomorrow, I saw it with my BFF Tracy in SLC and Sharon has seen it already too, but now we get to see it together, and I have been listening to the sound track, and I know all the words and I am looking forward to seeing it again, and I might even sing along!

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs, Di

Too cute! I love it. I really wanted to make one of my own when I returned from convention but I forgot to add it to my order. I know, what was I thinking? I wasn't! Do you know if it is too late to order one now? jmic91@comcast.net Love your blog. You are just so funny to read. Thanks

Hey Diana! I was at my Target yesterday looking for the exact same thing…but was unsuccessful! If you don't mind, can you please measure yours and I'll see if I can find one at another Target near me. Thanks! Love your added spook in there!

I love it! I am laughing about the spider web on the lid comment you made! I would have to straighten it out everytime someone put the lid back too!

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
